So, as many of you know, i was sick as hell since last monday night but had to go to school so i could go on this infamous trip that i kept speaking about. i went. and it was espectacular. in all seriousness, i had a lot of fun, and it could be compared to a usy convention in its greatness. it was amazing to see how many people are somewhat similar to me. here i was, going ont his trip that i knew NOTHING about pretty much excpet that i had to write a piece of legislation, and thati knew 9 other ppl from my school. well it started out amazing, and it ended on almost the same note. (i say almost, because by sunday night i was more sick than i was when i went).
So friday, we get to school at 5 in the morning. wohs is really scary at 5 am. the bus didnt show up till 6 at least. tricia had brought us donuts and coffee...we accidently left them locked in the building so we had to go inside and get them...we didnt leave our school till 6:30, which is the time i usually wake up to go to school. so the bus was great, there were "walsh" girls (villa walsh academy is a catholic girls school, it was tre cool meeting them) and plainfield highschool, who were also very awesome to meet. we get to dc 7 hours later than we had hoped. we went straight to the capital and we heard really cool speakers from all over who represented so many different points of view. one of them was the israeli ambassador to america (which anybody who knows me knows is like the best thing to start off a convention with, someone pro israel haha) so yeah got back to the hotel, went to dinner, which was in a mall, so even more cool, and then we came back, opening session, w/e..then came the dance, i met SO MANY people. me and cleo bought this cosmo mag. well, haha, guys apparently love to listen to girls read cosmo, cuz there were groups of ppl comin by and sitting with us. then on saturday, ill skip to the cool stuff...going to the senate committees were really thrilling. it was amazing how intense ppl got bout these bills. i mean, i thought everyone would be like taking it really lightly, as if it was aj oke, but nooo i was really mistaken. ppl were felt so strongly about what they were debating and the people responded just as strong. it was incredible to see ppl who felt as passionate about humanitarian issues as i did. and even though my bill didnt get passed in the house (we lost by two votes, and we had three obsetentions, all three of which went to cleo and said had they known it would be that close, they wouldve voted for it) it was still awesome listening to other debates, and even partisipating in them. saturday night aws amazing. so there me and cleo were, and we were pondering appropriate ways to meet new ... guys...haha and it dawned on us, if guys like reading cosmo, they would absolutely adore reading playboy. you read it, play boy. Hannah Grinberg READ a playboy magazine. ok so we go to the store, and i found out im not allowed to buy playboy because i forgot my id. so me and cleo go searching for an 18 year old to buy it for us. yeah, we found a guy to buy it for me. he asked if me and cleo were bi. yeah. that was the second time if me and cleo were asked if were gay or bi..anyway, i decided that my friends were about to ditch me, so i was looking for someone to talk to, and lo and behold, i find this random really adorable looking guy texting someone on the phone. now so u can understand who this guy is...hes the stereotypical jew and like an all around great guy. hes really sweet...i didnt know how beautiful DC was at night. jaja...yeah. sunday i was with him all day, and then wo left, and that was that. haha. sorta, well, im going to go wallow in my sickness
