The 12 Days of Arashi - Day 11 - A.M.N.O.S - Part 1

Masaki's month of miracles has worked it's magic yet again and I'm here to post DAY 11!!!

Who has been awake now for almost 24 hours managed to edit this before going to bed!
I have literally just gotten out of the shower to post this before I go to bed myself!
So without anymore waiting!

Warning/Note: This is totally from my head! Random stuff is random! Any mistakes I have made I am sorry for, I am still learning about Japanese culture and very likely to have gotten things wrong even though I did my research in the time I had. This fanfic only has one proof reader so sorry for mistakes or anything!

Summary: After Masaki’s game with the mistletoe and Christmas is finally out of the way, Arashi’s concert tour comes to an end for another year. Their New Year’s performances have ended and the boys of Arashi have some time off to enjoy. How will they spend it?
“Come on Kazu! We’re going to be late.” Masaki bounces on the spot wearing a beautiful emerald green kimono, a stream of sakura patterned down the left side from the collar and fanning out at the bottom.
“Yes, yes. I know Masaki. Please stop jumping around you’ll make me sick.” Kazu says throwing Masaki an annoyed glance while he finishes getting on his matching golden yellow kimono and making sure it’s straight on his small body.
“You are being awfully slow Kazu.” Satoshi says sitting on the edge of the bed also wearing a matching sapphire blue kimono.
“Shut up. I’m surprised you’re even awake for this.” Kazu says poking Satoshi’s cheek.
“I wouldn’t miss this for anything.” Satoshi grins and walks over to Masaki who is still bouncing on the spot. “Masaki go down and check Jun and Sho are ready would you. We’ll be down soon.”
Masaki sighs and nods, “Don’t take too long.” He leaves the room and heads down stairs to find Sho and Jun sat in the living room wearing their complete kimonos. Jun is wearing deep amethyst purple and Sho is wearing ruby red.
“Kyaaa! You both look stunning!” Masaki says almost jumping over to them. “Jun-kun you look extra sexy tonight!” Masaki says grinning and kisses Jun’s cheek.
“Masaki…” Jun growls and swats Masaki’s ass making him yelp and run to Sho’s side. “Behave.” Jun warns.
Masaki pouts and Sho pats his head, “He’s right Masaki. Behave tonight.” Sho says smiling and Masaki nods still pouting.
“Right we’re ready.” Satoshi announces as he walks down the stairs pulling a reluctant Kazu behind him.
“Yay! Everyone looks amazing!” Masaki jumps up full of energy. “Time for fun!” He says with a big smile.
All the members of Arashi head out for the night. They have all been invited to a new year’s celebration hosted by the Sakurai family, all the boy’s parents and siblings will be there plus friends and other guests, after Sho’s mum insisted they hold it a day late to allow her son and the rest of Arashi to join them, Sho and the others couldn’t say no.

“So this is the famous Sakurai Sho… Your mother has told me great things about you my boy.” A friend of Sho’s mother says bowing to Sho as he greets her. “I’d like you to meet my daughter, Nishida Erika.” A small and thin but beautiful girl is pulled closer to Sho. “It’s a pleasure to meet you Sakurai Sho-san.” The young girl bows and Sho returns the bow with a smile. ‘Another girl to keep at arms distance…’ Sho says in his head with a sigh but hiding behind a smile. “The pleasure is all mine, Erika-san.” Sho replies to the girl.
Unbeknown to Sho the rest of Arashi are all watching him closely.
“You know his mother and father want him to marry and have kids.” Jun pokes Masaki’s cheek pulling him to face the others.
“I know but I hate seeing girls act like that with him.” Masaki pouts and looks at Sho again talking with this girl.
“You know he loves us more than he’ll ever love a wife Ma-chan.” Satoshi says as he sips his drink.
“I hope he doesn’t get into trouble after that kiss. I heard him on the phone to his mum the day after. She didn’t sound happy.” Masaki looks upset and turns to look at the glass his holding in his lap.
A group of girls are stood a bit away from the boys giggling and watching them. “Why do I feel like I’m being stalked?” Kazu says glancing over to the girls and they all giggle more.
“That’s probably because they have been watching us all night.” Jun says sitting back on the chair he’s in.
“I miss Sho-chan…” Masaki mutters and Jun smiles at that.
“I miss you too Masaki-chan.” Sho says taking his seat next to Masaki and patting his thigh.
“Sho-chan!” Masaki jumps and hugs Sho.
“Woah…Masaki… easy.” Sho smiles and pats Masaki’s back, “Down boy.” Sho chuckles and pats Masaki’s head when Masaki releases him.
“Sorry Sho-chan. We were lonely without you.” Masaki pouts.
“No, you were lonely. I was happy ignoring everything.” Kazu says looking away.
“Thanks Kazu.” Sho smiles at the younger man’s denial. “Sorry I took so long. Mum wanted me to meet some people.” Sho sighs and takes the drink Jun offers him.
“I noticed that girl you were talking to. She seems nice.” Satoshi says looking at Masaki cuddling Sho’s arm.
“Another of my mum’s friend’s daughters… Nishida Erika-san. She’s a medical student … pretty … smart … but not my type.” Sho says frowning at talking about a random girl he knows little to nothing about. “I do wish mum would stop trying to set me up with girls, she should know by now where my heart lies.”
“I wish that too.” Masaki mumbles and clings to Sho more.
“Masaki… people are going to suspect something if you cling to me like that. The kiss last week was enough to show off.” Sho warns and notices the group of giggling girls has grown a bit.
“Sorry Sho-chan but you… won’t run away again will you?” Masaki asks spotting the girl from before.
Sho looks at her then turns back to Masaki, “Don’t worry Masaki. My eyes are only for you and these three muppets.” He nods to the others and they glare at him. “And I couldn’t love you guys more.” Sho whispers and Masaki’s eyes sparkle. Jun shakes his head and sips his drink.
“We all can’t love anyone more but each other.” Satoshi says softly taking hold of Kazu’s hand hidden by their thighs.
Jun gives a knowing nod and a smile with softly closed eyes.
After a few silent minutes pass and the boys seem to be shut out from the rest of the party in their own bubble. Masaki has an idea.
“I want to sing.” Masaki randomly announces gaining the attention of the group.
“Masaki?” The others say in shock looking at Masaki.
“What? It’s a good idea.” Masaki pouts and looks at the others with watery shining eyes.
“You know you really are Arashi’s miracle wonder boy.” Sho says smiling softly, looking to the rest of the group, “Right guys. Let’s show these people that Arashi is here and we stick together.” Sho says standing up.
Jun smirks and sets his glass down on the small table, “Sounds like this party is going to suddenly get good.”
Satoshi and Kazu both stand together, “Can’t be Arashi without us.” Kazu says smiling.
“Guys…?” Masaki looks at them all with shock but admiration and love in his eyes. “I love you all so much.” He says softly and jumps up to pull them all into a group hug.
“So shall we do this?” Satoshi says putting his hand into the middle of the group.
The other all place their hands on top. “We are Arashi.” Jun says and the all repeat his words.

After an hour of shuffling around the house and a quick word to Sho’s brother and sister who agree to help them surprise everyone, the boys are stood in the centre of the garden courtyard of the Sakurai house everything ready and set to go.
“You sure this is going to work Sho-kun?” Jun asks slightly concerned.
“It’ll be fine. Just like when we we’re first starting out as Arashi. Practicing here in the garden, not caring if the world could hear us. It’s the same.” Sho says smiling and Masaki nods.
“We were Arashi then and we are Arashi now Jun. We can do anything.” Masaki says.
“Ready?” Sho asks and the others nod, and move to their places.
Sho gives a nod to his brother who switches the main lights off leaving everything in the dark. The party guests being to worry and talk, until they hear the sound of music coming from the garden all turn to the sound.
When Arashi were in their early days Sho’s family would go away on a family holiday for a few weeks, leaving Sho home alone with his brother and sister. He’d invite the rest of Arashi over and they’d wire up a load of speakers around the courtyard and use the decking as a stage to dance and sing to their hearts content. Now they are using it again. For the first time in years the boys go back to their days after debut. To when they were just starting… To have fun and be a team… To find what they now know to be love for one another… To become Arashi…
The song begins.
“Ano hi ga tsutaeru kyou wo Tsunagu hateshinai michi.”
(“The past that led to today is connected by an endless road”)
Jun begins the song softly but loudly to be heard and silence the people around.
The backing music comes through the speakers perfectly and the garden spot lights switch on illuminating the boys in light, making them seem to shine and glow in the dark of the night, the biggest smiles on their faces holding hands together. The boys begin and relax into what is going to be a stunning few minutes in this brand new year.
