Summary: Masaki finds mistletoe in the box of Christmas decorations and decides to kiss all the members of Arashi under it. First he aims for Kazunari Ninomiya. After Masaki’s mistletoe kissing game was found out by Kazunari, Masaki yet again was found out this time by Ohno Satoshi. After his stressful but rewarding and if not painful time with Matsumoto Jun, Masaki’s game now seems like it’s going to end without a win. Masaki 0 - Mistletoe 3.

Last on his list is Sakurai Sho, but how will Masaki tackle this final match with the Rapper of Arashi? Will the others help him? And will he even win this time?

MASAKI AND THE MISTELTOE PART 4!

After that weekend’s concerts are finally over and Masaki’s body has finally gotten over Jun’s assault from the day before the concerts started, Masaki can now focus on his final mission. To kiss Sakurai Sho under the mistletoe.

His only problem is how, the rapper and newscaster is busy as ever with filming and interviews, plus his news casting and Masaki has his own work to worry about. So much for Masaki’s chance to get the other alone.

The following week and the men are back in the green room before final rehearsal for their next concert performance the following day.

“So how do you think you’re going to do it this time?” Jun asks from in front of a full body mirror, checking his hair out as well as watching Masaki’s hunched over depressed figure on the sofa behind him.

“I don’t have a clue Jun-kun. He’s been so busy all week I’ve not had chance to get him alone.” Masaki pouts.

“I’m sure you just need the right time.” Satoshi says from where he is laying his head on Kazu’s lap.

“Yeah. You don’t need to rush it. That’s how you got caught out with us and kept losing your own game.” Kazu says smiling pulling out his DS from his bag.

Masaki pouts even more, “You don’t have to remind me.” Masaki lies on the sofa on his front and buries his face in a pillow. “This game isn’t playing fair.”

Jun laughs out loud coming over to sit on the sofa next to Masaki’s, “This is your game, you just suck at it. Fair or not, you committed to it. You have to finish it. With all of us, including Sho.”

“Jun’s right. If Sho finds out that he is the only one not to get a kiss with you then he’ll feel like you hate him or don’t want him.” Kazu says not looking away from his DS. “He might even hate you for it.”

“You’re meant to be helping me Kazu-kun not making me feel worse.” Masaki pouts again and reburies his face.

Just then the door opens and Sho walks in, “Hi guys. Sorry I’m late, was at lunch with mum. I miss anything?” Sho says dropping his bag onto his sofa and pulling off his jacket.

“Oh nothing much, just chatting.” Satoshi smiles up, as Sho walks past him and over to the moping Masaki.

“Hey Masaki what’s up with you? Why do you look like your dead?” Sho slaps the younger man’s butt playfully and Masaki flinches and whines.

“Sho-kun that hurt.” Masaki pouts looking at Sho with teary eyes.

“Woh… Hey I’m sorry. Don’t cry.” Sho says a bit shocked at the hurt look in Masaki’s eyes. “I didn’t mean to hurt you. I was only playing.”

“It’s ok Sho, he’s not over Jun’s attack on his ass last week. You know Jun likes to go a bit rough when his in a bad mood, or a good mood for that matter.” Kazu chuckles and gets a glare from Masaki in return and a smirk from Jun.

“Shut up Kazu. My ass is fine.” Masaki says even though the thought of it makes him scared to piss Jun off ever again.

“I still don’t get what happened last week. You guys were acting so weird. First Masaki starts acting, well like himself to be honest. Then Kazu is being all sneaky as well and then Satoshi gets into the picture with the two of you. Then Jun gets pissed off for the day cos of you Masaki. Then half way through the concert prep, you disappear back stage for hours together, and Masaki then seems like he’s in pain all thought out the concert and Jun is in a seriously subdued good mood for days.” Sho says listing everything that’s happened on this concert tour so far, frowning and sitting down on his sofa. Taking a sip off the coffee that Jun hands to him, “I just don’t get what the hell you guys are playing at.”

Jun takes his seat next to Masaki and smiles, “Nothing much. You’ll find out sooner or later.” Jun gives Masaki a look of pure evil and Masaki almost whimpers and clenches his ass in fear.

~~~
After their rehearsal Masaki walks into the green room to find Jun, Kazu and Satoshi all sat in a tight circle talking about something.
They all turn at look at the bewildered Masaki.
“Hi Masaki-chan.” Jun says with a large grin. Masaki gulps.
“Hi Ma-chan” Satoshi says yawning. Masaki feels like he’s in a trap.
Kazu just smirks and Masaki shivers. Something is going happen and he doesn’t know what the hell is going on, but he’s sure it’s going to be aimed at him and now he’s scared to death.
“What’s going on Masaki?” Sho asks coming up behind Masaki.
Snapping out of his fear he turns to Sho to come almost nose to nose with the man, “N-Nothing S-Sho-kun.” He stutters out stepping back from Sho, blushing red.
“Oh… right… anyway the sound team wanted you on stage Jun. Kazu the costume team wanted to do a final costume check with you.” Sho says putting his water bottle on the table and sitting in his chair.
Satoshi looks expectantly at Sho expecting him to tell him he’s needed somewhere, “Umm Satoshi you can just take a nap.” Sho says with a smile and Satoshi almost pouts but shrugs it off and lies back down.
Masaki is stood near the doors as Jun and Kazu get up to leave, “Remember to keep him in a good mood.” Jun whispers to Masaki on his way out and gives him a fiery glare that he knows scared Masaki now.
“And don’t screw this weekend up.” Kazu smirks, patting Masaki’s arm as he also leaves following Jun.
Masaki blushes deeper and begins to panic. ‘What are they planning?’ He thinks to himself.
Sho looks at Masaki with a concerned look. “You ok Masaki?” Masaki just nods in reply and sits on his sofa and curls up hugging his pillow, “Just feeling tired.” He lies.
Sho nods, but still doesn’t stop thinking something else is wrong.
~~~

The next few days of concerts go without anything happening so Masaki thinks the other we’re just teasing him. He gets on with the concerts and they make it to the final concert of that weekend, the day of their DVD filming.

“Wow! Everyone seems so worked up tonight don’t they Riida?!” Jun says after they finish a group number.

“Hai!” Satoshi replies with a big smile and a point to the audience making everyone scream.

“Riida’s solo was very good don’t you think?” Jun asks everyone and the fans scream in reply.

“Masaki-chan you seem to be relaxed tonight?” Kazu mentions and Masaki instantly knows something is difference in his and Jun’s eyes. Masaki gulps.

“Hai. Tonight is fun.” Masaki says a little distracted. Sho looks at him worried.

“So did you like Sho-kun’s solo Masaki-chan? It was very good right?” Jun smirks at Masaki and Masaki begins to sweat more than usual. ‘Are they trying to kill me!?’ He thinks.

“Sho-kun’s solos are always very good. I love watching him…them… his solos.” Masaki says panicking and trying to relax again and sound his usual self.

“So everyone we have a great song for you all next.” Jun announces. “Please enjoy!”

The boys move into their places for the next number and then everything changes.

~~~
As soon as the song starts Masaki is aware the other 3 excluding Sho have suddenly changed their set places. Jun and Satoshi have moved onto the moving carts instead of Masaki going with Jun. Kazu has run away and is off on the other cart leaving himself and Sho to use the centre platform which is usually just for Sho.
Taking this random change in his stride Sho smiles at Masaki and grabs his hand to start running to the centre stage.
As the song progresses Masaki is aware something is going to happen, “Here we go! Sakuraiba duet!” Jun announces as Sho and Masaki are on the centre platform rising up above the stage and audience.
Masaki panics. ‘What the hell does he mean Sakuraiba duet!’ He screams in his head, trying to remember his next part.
Sho looks at Masaki with a smile and nods for Masaki to keep going. The audience are cheering along and are full of energy.
The two men face each other and raise their still linked hands above them their fingers intertwined together.
Masaki looks into Sho eyes and he knows to just follow what his heart tells him, to sing, and sing with all his heart.
Jun, Kazu and Satoshi give the stage to Masaki and Sho to sing the final part of the song.
The audience going crazy with the fan service from the pair and the songs final part.
Masaki and Sho sing as a duet, perfectly matching and smiling the whole time.
As the song ends the stage lights have focused on the pair at the highest point above the stage.
“Now Masaki-chan! Your final chance!” Kazu shouts out and the audience begins to quieten, until the images on the stadiums screens change to a picture of Mistletoe and surrounds the stage at every angle making the audience go wild with excitement.
Masaki gasps at the change and immediately panics at what the others are asking him to do. Masaki looks at Jun, Kazu and Satoshi stood on the main stage all smiling and pointing to him.
“Eh? What? Mistletoe?” Sho looks around still holding Masaki’s hand.
Masaki sees Jun say “Go for it!” Kazu gives him a thumbs up “Good luck!” and Satoshi salutes to him.
A big smile now shines on Masaki’s face; he grips his microphone tightly by his side and squeezes Sho’s hand.
‘You can do this Masaki!’ Masaki says to himself, ‘You can do this!’
“S-Sho-chan.” Masaki gets his attention.
Sho turns to look at Masaki and before he knows what’s happening Masaki’s lips are locked on his.
Sho blinks realising what’s happening and sees the tears in Masaki’s eyes. Sho closes his eyes and returns the kiss making a bit deeper than at first.
The audience drops to a dead silence and the pair breaks apart their hands still holding onto each other tightly.
Masaki’s tears fall and Sho catches them with his baby finger before they drop off Masaki’s jaw.
With a last small peck on Masaki’s lips the audience bursts into screaming cheers and applause.
Sho brings his microphone to his lips and grips Masaki’s hand high in the air.
“Sakuraiba!” Sho shouts to everyone and Masaki smiles wide and full of love looking at Sho.
~~~

“So that’s what was going on.” Sho says after the concert while the men are in their green room relaxing after a very eventful night.
“I’m sorry Sho-chan. It was their idea. I didn’t even know they would do that.” Masaki says still recovering from his small breakdown after the concert ended.

Masaki has calmed down enough and is now lying with Sho on his sofa clinging to the slightly older man.

“On filming night guys? Really? It’s a good thing that looked like fan service or they’d have to cut it form the DVD.” Sho says running his hand through his hair. “Baka.” Sho kisses the top of Masaki’s head as Masaki buries his face into Sho’s chest.

“Well at least you won this round Masaki.” Satoshi says from his spot on Kazu’s lap.

“Seeing as he didn’t even know the plan and we kinda forced him to I actually think it was more like a win for us.” Kazu points out.
“He has a point.” Jun laughs taking his place on his sofa. “So that’s Arashi 1, Mistletoe 3 and Masaki nil.” Jun laughs again as Masaki pouts.

“You’re all mean!” Masaki shouts and nuzzles into Sho’s chest.

“It’s ok Masaki, in my eyes you won tonight.” Sho says softly stroking the man’s head.

“Really Sho-chan…?” Masaki asks looking up at Sho. Sho nods and holds Masaki’s mistletoe above them.

“You can win any time you want.” Jun says smiling.

Kazu nods, “Yep, you might be annoying, and childish, and an idiot, and you mess up a lot, and you fail… Ow!” Jun has gotten up and slaps the back of Kazu’s head to stop him talking before Masaki starts crying again as he’s already getting teary again.

“Over all Masaki…” Satoshi says sitting up a little and grinning at Masaki. “…even with your games and personality…” Satoshi continues.

“We love you.” Sho says looking at Masaki, “We love you, you idiotic miracle piece of sunshine!”

Sho holds the mistletoe above their heads and kisses Masaki.

Masaki lets his tears fall again and melts against Sho’s lips and clings to the rapper.

After breaking apart Masaki looks at his bandmates, “I love you guys so much.” He says and his tears flow with no stopping.

He feels like his game didn’t matter anymore. All the love his bandmates feel for him is better than winning a silly game and Masaki smiles the wides and brightest he has ever done before.

The rest of Arashi join together on the sofa with Sho and Masaki, all hugging, squishing Masaki in the middle.
