First day of class

Aug 31, 2006 00:06

Today was just a really awkward and weird day. I hope tomorrow is better.
9am- 17th century lit. with Dr. Moss. Dr. Moss began talking about 5 minutes before class about starting a revolution and how we'll begin to realize we want to be individuals and move away from the group, but then like a magic switch had been flipped at 9am she started talking about 17th century lit and didn't stray from the topic until class ended. It was amazing. I could really end up liking this class, if my brain can learn to keep up with how fast Dr. Moss talks.

9:50am- ran into Dr Phillips office and here was the conversation that followed:
Hannah: I have a question
Dr. P.: Okay
H: Will you be around later so I can come drop a class and add a new one later?
Dr. P: Is this class you're dropping the one you just got out of?
H: No, but I'd like to drop that too, but that's beside the point.
Dr. P: No, I wont but email me and we'll drop it tomorrow.

10am- American Lit with Dr. Schneibel. It was kind of odd and a bit scary to me seeing Dr. Schneibel look so happy and she wasn't wearing the usual scneibel suit either, she had on a dress, a brightly colored dress at that and it had flowers on it. That's just weird. Once again, not a bad weird, but a stray from the usual and I don't like change.

11am- Modern Critiques of Religion with Dr. Meyer...finally a typical Meyer class, no changes except he added an extra test to our syllabus this year.. yuck.

2pm- Women and Religion- there is about 25 people in the class and of that there is one male... just one.I sit next to Anne McKee which is really weird for me since she is the campus minister and is taking the class as a student. This was the class I was contemplating dropping... I'm still thinking about it.

* It's weird being one of the older students, I can't imagine how next year is going to feel, wow, crazy.*
