Regionals wrap up
Not a good day for us. I really, really wanted the standard Q. It was a tough course, we made it almost all the way through. The closing went -- tunnel, a-frame. jump. I put Hannah in the tunnel, then went to where I wanted to be to get her up the aframe, and bam! she came right back out of the tunnel. Crap.
Gamble was easy! Hannah was running great in the opening. I thought we could get it. I was pretty close to where I wanted to be in the closing. But no. Hannah turned and barked. Bark, "go out, tunnel", bark. "go out tunnel". You get the idea. Crap.
Jumpers. Last run of the weekend. People wanting to leave to drive home in the crappy traffic due to the bridge collapse, etc. Who could blame them? I walked the course twice, because I could. But still left out a jump. Crap. After I hear the whistle, I did a whole bunch of rear crosses, just to see if I could. Best part of the day.
Regionals. Hmmmm. I think next year I will just do steeplechase and grand prix. Becuase that seems like the funner option.
