USDAA NW Regionals day three

May 26, 2013 06:19

long, long day. And I didn't even get there until noon. I looked at the run order and thought that I would have my first run at three. Then my brain said I better get there early just in case, so I thought I would plan to arrive around 1:00. Then I forgot about why I planed to arrive at 1:00, and thought if I was running at 1:00 I should get there around noon. My brain is a weird place.

So our first run was gamblers (at 3:30). It went jump, tunnel, weaves to an out jump. Doable, I thought and I watched several people get it right off. Hannah came out of the tunnel, looked momentarily at the weaves and then promptly got on the teeter which was between me and the weaves as if to say, lets stop this discussion right now!

Next up was jumpers. Hannah did great, she is getting faster! We got 2nd place, just a couple seconds out of 1st.

I have been telling Hannah for a long time that she just has one more table down. Because once I get our 5th Masters Standard run, she will be done with USDAA standard, as I have no interest in any titles beyond ADCH. But it was not going to happen today. I don't know why, but when I went to get her out of her crate for the run, she was super barky and jumpy and didn't settle down at all. This continued in her run and it was a train wreck. Geez, Hannah. Maybe she doesn't want to be done with Masters Standard.

I didn't enter Steeplechase or Grand Prix this weekend. I didn't really see the point, and it was super expensive just entering the Team and regular classes. Anyway, one more day, today we have the same classes again. I didn't enter snooker today, because I figured the chances of getting a super Q at regionals were very low. So just jumpers, gamblers and standard.
