So. Another day of AKC. Same time, same place. Same schedule. Start right off with JWW. 16 inch dogs running first. I heard the judge was bragging at the dinner the night before that he was going to get us with this course. And boy howdy, he did. Hannah and I crashed and burned for the first 5 jumps. Off course, knocked bar, etc., etc. The next 14 obstacles, no problem! ha ha. A bit of a hot mess.
Oh shoot, back up. When we were going in to line up for jww, I looked at the dog running, and then had to do a quick double take to make sure my Hannah was still on the end of my leash. Because her twin was running in the ring!!! I ran over to the board, and sure enough, it was Hannah's brother, Nai, visiting all the way from Montana. So fun. Hannah didn't like him any better than she likes any other dog, which is to say, not at all. But it was so fun to get to see each other's runs.
Standard started out tunnel, jump and then they were facing right at the dogwalk, but they were supposed to turn to the next jump. Hannah didn't turn, probably because I did not cue her. I looked up and there she was on the dw. Shoot. But the rest of the course, wow. Perfect. I loved the way she was running, her jumping was great and she held her contacts. It was truly one of my favorite runs ever. Well, except for the off course. ha ha.
So it was a really fun day, even though no Qs. Next weekend, Turner, Oregon, for a tournement USDAA trial.
