I really don't see why all departmental scholarships at Mizzou require an essay on volunteerism.  An essay, yes.  But limit us to volunteerism?  Come on.  It's so cliche... makes it really hard to stand out without sounding uppidy.

I'd complain more... but this application is due Monday... yikes!
