i'm winding down at work in the most serious of fashions; making sure all photographs, candy in drawers, cartons of soup and personal coffee tea mug are migrating homeward. it still feels unreal, but my last day is monday and then that's it. i said my first two goodbyes to co-workers i would not see on my last day (no tears shed -- *phew*!). so ( Read more... )

on saturday i took fenny into the car dealership for servicing. i waited out the two hours by walking up to 70th and loitering in the local dollar store where i found sideshow bob (my office's much neglected, unloved and root-bound mascot) a bigger pot (i hied him home today -- he rode shotgun -- and i will try and re-pot him before the weekend ( Read more... )
