it says 12:02 on my clock, but that means it's really 11:02, right?
or did my computer clock already change and i just didn't notice?
in these days of intelligent technology during daylight saving time (and the end of it) i tend to fret over whether i need to change the clocks or whether they'll do it themselves.
"madame zelda", our microwave that "senses" when popcorn is thoroughly popped, "chaim" our jewish oven, my various fancy schmancy i-products, and of course, my computer... these are all time-telling devices that i have a feeling might be smart enough to turn themselves back an hour without my help. unfortunately, daylight saving time begins and ends far enough apart that i always forget what happened last time.
of course, while most of the appliances in the panopticon are shining examples of the massive strides humans have made in technology and convenience there are others that fall terribly short...
... yes, i'm looking at you, hp photosmart c4795 printer/scanner. it can't even remember to print anymore. all the more reason to invest in a new one, i guess. but still... i am disappoint.
