LJIdol Week 23 - Intersection / If you don’t live it, it won’t come out of your horn

To be honest, when the latest envoy from another world flew past me at the sidewalk cafe, I paid it little mind.  A bird made from flowers, complete with a skull-shaped head and black flame coming out of its eye sockets - it barely even registered.  Sure, something so clearly otherworldly out in public was a little odd to see, but by then not only ( Read more... )

You guys did great! I loved seeing both sides of the same coin, and I've gotta say that while I'm a little disappointed in Evan, I am glad to see that your character finally got his adventure. :)

Thank you. I kind of wish we could have had a third writer do the story from the flower-bird's point of view as well.

I just realized the spacing between paragraphs absolutely failed to work when I uploaded. Thank you for making your way through the dense visual clutter it turned into.

What a great, fun story; it went so well with hwango's. The weirdness in it certainly justified the Al Michaels' quote. The ending was great.

:D It was nice to see the flip side of the other story, where the sought-after child (now adult) just wants to be left alone, and the other character welcomes excitement and adventure but is resolutely ignored. :O

it was like looking at an emotional picture of my past. With a skull for a face. And black flame.
And they were kindred spirits after all. Because who else would truly understand and appreciate the significance of buckets?

Finally, something turned out right for this character. It might not have lived up to the hype in the end, but at least they got to experience it!

Thank you for your nice comments. I feel like I have been in both situations in my life, wanting what others have, and not wanting what I have been given. Maybe most people feel that way, but it was interesting to separate them out more into two distinct lives. Life really is about experiences, of all sorts.
