The moment they’ve stepped outside the airport, Koki raises up his hands and shouted, “Ah, we’re finally here in Okinawa!” Koki’s family simply shook their heads while his best friends looked amused at his actions.
“Koki has always wanted to go to Okinawa but due to financial issues, we didn’t get the opportunity to do so. Now that our family income has stabled, we could more than afford it. Vacation is after all once in a while so it’s okay to spend the money.” Koki’s mother explained to Kazuya and Nakamaru with a smile.
“But I still feel bad that you’re paying for the both of us.” Kazuya voiced out honestly.
“It’s okay, honey. The one who is supposed to be pampered by all these is you, not Koki.” Mrs Tanaka placed an arm around Kazuya’s shoulder, obviously teasing her son. “We’ve already treated you like our own.”
“Okaasan!”
The others chuckled at Koki’s cute pout, his arms crossed.
“Come on. Our van has arrived. Let’s go in.” Mr Tanaka guided the way, gesturing them to enter the parked vehicle. “It will take us to our hotel.”
The boys took the second row of the nine sitter van, Koki’s parents on the first row while all of their bags are placed on the last one. Kazuya took the seat next to window, suddenly thinking how Jin was doing. He sighed, turning his view outside.
“Okinawa is so beautiful.” He thought.
-*-
Renaissance Okinawa Resort
Kazuya blinked at the building in front him, what looked like a five star hotel. Deep down, he knew that they’re going to stay in an expensive hotel but he didn’t expect it to be this extravagant. He obediently followed his best friends in silence.
The three of them waited in the seating area while Koki’s parents settled the issue of their rooms.
“Nakamaru!”
Kazuya took that opportunity to drag his friend by the arm towards the direction of the restroom. Koki who was left behind on the sofa simply raised his eyebrows but remained where he was, in case his parents couldn’t find where they were if he had followed.
“What, Kame? You looked really worried.”
“This is a five star hotel, Nakamaru! Given by the extravagant interior of this hotel, I’m sure we couldn’t afford the bills! That’s what I’m worried about right now!” Kazuya leaned against the wall with his arms crossed, his expression that of worry.
“Kazuya!” Nakamaru placed his hands on the younger one’s shoulders. “How many times should I remind you about this? You don’t have to worry about the transportation or accommodation expenses. Koki’s parents would take care of it. They told us earlier, didn’t they?”
“But such a high class hotel, the bills sure won’t be a pretty sight. They have to pay on our behalf.”
“The hotel may be five stars but we’re not going to stay in the most expensive room. Ours if I’m not wrong is the Superior Twin room. It’s one of the Western rooms.” Nakamaru tried to convince his friend but when Kazuya still had that look on his face, he sighed.
“Kazuya, look. Not caring about the bills, Koki’s parents truly want us to enjoy this short trip. This is a gift from them to us so we should show them that we appreciate it. Don’t think so much about the money, okay?”
“I guess you’re right but I still feel bad, somehow.”
“Don’t be. The Tanaka’s are quite rich actually. Have you forgotten about that fact, Kazuya?” Nakamaru winked, his lips smirking. Kazuya simply laughed it off.
-*-
Koki stayed in his parents’ room while Kazuya and Nakamaru shared the same room. When Kazuya was about to unpack his suitcase, the bell rang. As if understanding, Nakamaru rushed towards the door and opened it.
“Ah, it’s you, Koki.” He opened the door wider for Koki to get through.
“Kazuya, we’re all going out to have our lunch in an hour’s time. We’ll be taking a cab to one of the local restaurant after which we’ll move about freely. So I was thinking of exploring the hotel in the mean time. Do you guys want to join me?” Koki asked.
“I’ll follow!” Nakamaru quickly answered.
Kazuya shook his head. “You guys go ahead. I was thinking of having some rest after I’m done unpacking. Just call me when you need me in the lobby.”
“Okay then, see you later.”
The two walked out of the room, leaving Kazuya all alone.
“Not a single call or message from Jin.” Kazuya checked his cell phone for the countless time that day. He himself could not remember how many times did he looked and stared at the screen of his phone, hoping for that someone to at least message him.
“Baby, call me please.”
-*-
‘Ting!’
The elevator door opened, and as if luck wasn’t on Kazuya’s side, the elevator door on the opposite side closed at the same time his opened, missing the chance to catch a glimpse of his beloved. Glancing at his wrist watch, he realised that he is five minutes early.
Noticing that the others are already in the lobby, Kazuya smiled and rushed towards them.
-*-
“How the hell could I have forgotten my cell phone here?” Jin murmured in annoyance. The moment he enters his Suite, he walked to the sofa and picked up his phone, checking his inbox. He simply clicked on the latest mail Kazuya had sent him, not bothering to look at the others.
Jin, I miss you so much. Are you doing okay?
Love, Kazuya
Upon reading his lover’s mail, it brightened Jin’s mood. Leaning against the soft fabric of the sofa, he quickly typed in his reply, his lips forming into a smile while doing so.
I’m really busy and tired but with your support, I’ll put in my best effort! I miss you too. We’ll meet again soon, okay? I promise I’ll make some time for you after this work of mine is done.
Love, Jin
“Ah, I wish you’re here in Okinawa with me, Kazuya.” Jin closed his eyes.
-*-
Kazuya was walking barefooted on the sandy beach; his steps came to a stop as he feels the cool breeze against his body, suddenly feeling refreshed being in this heaven. His gaze fall towards the blue sea, a certain surfer caught his attention, amazed at the talent of said person with the waves.
He ended up watching the surfer till the extent of not realising how long had he stood there, so much that he blinked in surprise when the surfer started walking towards his direction.
When did he …?
“Hello.” The surfer greeted, handing out his hand which Kazuya accepted instinctively. “I couldn’t help but notice that you’ve been watching me.”
“Ah, I’m sorry.” Kazuya bowed. “I just thought you surfed beautifully.”
“Thank you.” The other smiled. “Ah, I haven’t introduced myself yet. I’m Nishikido Ryo, Ryo for short.”
“Kamenashi Kazuya. Just call me Kazuya.”
Ryo nodded. “So which part of Japan are you from, Kazuya?”
“Tokyo.”
“Ah, you’re on a holiday too then, same for me.”
“You’re not from here, Ryo-kun?” Kazuya felt at ease talking with the other even though they are two strangers who just met.
“No, I’m not. I’m from Osaka actually. I love surfing therefore I’d come to Okinawa during my free times. The sea is like a part of my life, it’s calming. Surfing is a sport I enjoy the most.”
“I can see that.” Kazuya smiled.
He didn’t expect that by coming to Okinawa, he would be able to make a new friend.
-*-
Nakamaru was about to head in the direction of his friends when he spotted someone walking through the lobby, and towards the elevator. Not wasting any time, his friends forgotten, Nakamaru rushed towards the celebrity and patted him on the arm.
“Excuse me …”
Akanishi Jin turned, flashing the other a scrutiny expression from beneath his sunglasses, wondering whether he is another fan who wants his autograph.
“Sorry for interrupting but I’m one of Kazuya’s best friend. Kamenashi Kazuya.” Nakamaru whispered Kazuya’s full name, afraid that others would hear if he spoke at his normal volume.
At the mention of his lover’s name, Jin’s eyes widened. He pulled the other one to a secluded corner.
“Kazuya’s best friend, you said. How can I know that you’re telling the truth?”
Nakamaru smiled, turning his gaze towards the lobby. “Kazuya’s here. There sitting in the lobby with our friend, Koki. They’re waiting for me but then I saw you, and I thought I should let you know that he’s here. Kazuya’s been rather down lately.”
Jin followed Nakamaru’s gaze, star struck when he saw Kazuya.
“You mean, you know … that we …?”
Nakamaru nodded. “I hope you won’t get angry with Kazuya. At that time, he was troubled and needed someone to express his feelings to. We’re his best friends and the ones he trusts the most so rest assured we would keep this secret to ourselves. Hurting Kazuya is the last thing on our minds.”
Jin thought for a moment before finally nodding his head, agreeing to the other’s request.
“Nakamaru, what are you doing? Kazuya’s waiting for us …” Koki suddenly stood next to Nakamaru, he looked really surprise when he realised that it was Akanishi Jin, the man who Kazuya truly loves, in front of Nakamaru.
“Don’t tell Kazuya I’m here. I want it to be a surprise.” Jin smiled, and bowed, taking one last glance at his beloved before walking away.
-*-
Kazuya rolled around on his bed, and heaved out a sigh, realising that no matter how much he tried to, he couldn’t fall asleep. Turning his gaze to Nakamaru who was sleeping so soundly in his bed, he thought how lucky that man is to be able to fall asleep easily.
Meanwhile, he is restless, his eyes closed but not yet in a sleeping state. Pulling over his blanket, Kazuya changed into a pair of jeans, slipping on his jacket as well. Placing the key into his pocket, he walked out of the hotel room.
“Damn you, Jin. I can’t stop thinking about you.” Kazuya murmured, hugging himself to get some warmth as he headed towards the beach. His steps however halted when he realised that he wasn’t alone. Despite the darkness, Kazuya could make out the back of a person.
“Maybe I should go back …”
Just as Kazuya made that decision, that person turned, causing Kazuya to stay frozen the second he locked gazes with Akanishi Jin, his boyfriend. He blinked and rubbed his eyes, thinking that he was simply hallucinating but that image of Jin didn’t disappear, instead he was coming closer to him.
“Jin …”
The taller one smiled, immediately pulling Kazuya into his embrace.
“I’m here.” Jin whispered. “I’m here, Kazuya.”
The shock quickly faded away as Kazuya smiled happily, indulging deeper into Jin’s embrace. He closed his eyes, wishing to stay in this moment for a short while more.
-*-
Jin opened the door to his suite, leading Kazuya inside, hand in hand. Kazuya’s eyes blinked in astonishment at the luxury of this room, as expected of someone like Jin. Though this suite wasn’t as large as Jin’s own bedroom, it still is considered luxurious to Kazuya.
“Wow, Jin. This room is so beautiful.”
“Not as beautiful as you.” Jin whispered, wrapping an arm around Kazuya’s waist from the back, breathing in his scent. “It’s fate that we meet each other here. That’s how strong our bond is.”
“Hmm.” Kazuya closed his eyes, holding Jin’s hands. “When you said that you had a job outside Tokyo, I didn’t know that it was Okinawa. I was so shocked when I met you earlier. At the same time, I’m happy. I missed you so much.”
“Kazuya …”
“Yeah, Jin?”
“I met your best friend earlier on the lobby. Nakamaru, I think, is his name.” Jin started.
“Nakamaru?” Kazuya turned to face Jin abruptly, his expression that of fear, afraid of Jin’s reaction if he knows that Kazuya had told his two best friends about their relationship. “What … what did he tell you, Jin?”
“That your best friends know we’re dating.”
Kazuya took a step back, looking anywhere else but Jin.
“Kazu …” Jin pulled Kazuya closer, and tilted his head so that they were face to face. “Hey, I’m not angry. Your friend made me understand, and after doing some thinking on my own, you have the right to tell them about it. I’m just glad that you’re not alone in this matter.”
“Jin, are you sure you’re okay with it?”
“I am. So don’t feel bad about it, okay? I’m not mad at all.” Jin said with a gentle smile.
Kazuya nodded, his eyes suddenly feeling heavy. “Jin, I’m sleepy.”
“Then let’s go and have our precious sleep.” He winked.
The both of them soon lied side by side on the bed, cuddling closer. Feeling Jin’s warmth next to him, Kazuya easily fell into a deep slumber. Jin smiled, kissing the younger one’s forehead, sleep consuming him as well.
-*-
“Good morning.”
Jin’s handsome face was the first that greeted Kazuya early in the morning; he couldn’t help but feel a tinge of happiness over it. Kazuya blushed when Jin leaned in to kiss him on the lips, like he’d always do. What a perfect start of the day, Kazuya thought.
He sat up against the headboard, placing his head on Jin’s shoulder.
“Did you get a good night sleep?” Jin asked.
“I did. It was so comfortable sleeping next to you that the time seemed so short. I couldn’t fall asleep yesterday. That was why I went down to the beach for a walk. I’m glad I did because I got to meet you.” Kazuya answered.
“I was going to meet you today after knowing that you’re here but fate decides to make us meet early.”
Kazuya smiled.
“Let’s have our bath then we can eat breakfast together, okay? I’ll call for room service.” Jin suggested to which the other gave a small nod in response. Jin took Kazuya’s hand in his as he guided him towards the bathroom.
“Ah, Jin! I don’t have a new change of clothes. They’re all in my hotel room.” Kazuya suddenly remembered that he would have nothing clean to wear later on.
“It’s okay. You can borrow my t-shirt though it’s slightly bigger. Just put on your jeans from yesterday, you can change when you’re back in your room. Okay, Kazu?”
“Hmm!”
-*-
“This is really too big.” Kazuya chuckled on the way to the door, referring to Jin’s t-shirt he’s wearing.
“Yeah, it does. But it looks good on you though.”
“You think so?”
“Hmm.” Jin nodded, placing both of his hands on Kazuya’s cheek as he leaned down for a long kiss on the lips. “I’ll see you later, okay?”
“Can I sleep with you again tonight, Jin?” Kazuya asked.
“You know you don’t have to ask permission for things like that. It’s only a right that only you, and no one else, would enjoy, Kazuya.” Jin reminded him once again.
Kazuya nodded and smiled, his lover opening the door for him, as he stepped out.
-*-
“Kazuya! You should have called us! We were worried sick!” Koki scolded the moment Kazuya finished explaining about his whereabouts yesterday. They only found out that Kazuya was missing in the morning.
“I’m sorry.” Kazuya placed his arms onto his legs, and pouted badly.
“Koki, that’s enough. I told you that the possibility of Kazuya in his lover’s room was high. Where else could Kazuya go? Anyway, he’s back already. So let’s not think about that anymore, and just enjoy ourselves again today, okay?” Nakamaru said.
“Okay.” Koki relented.
“If Kazuya’s missing again, you know who he’s with.” Nakamaru teased the youngest one.
Kazuya pouted again. “Nakamaru!”
“Let’s go! Let’s go!” Koki exclaimed.
“Hmm, you guys go ahead first. I need to have a change of t-shirt.” Kazuya whispered.
“We understood!” They both laughed.
-*-
The three best friends had been out shopping for three hours now, all of them carrying shopping bags on their hands. Realising that the beach is near, they decided to stop by it before heading back towards the hotel.
“Why is the beach so crowded?” Nakamaru asked.
Koki simply shrugged his shoulders; they kept moving forward until they notice what the commotion was all about. It was Akanishi Jin shooting a commercial with tall and sexy models, wearing skimpy clothing. Kazuya who sees this simply crossed his arms and frowned.
“Kazuya, are you alright?” Koki turned to face the younger one in concern.
“Let’s go and eat something, then we can do more shopping!” Kazuya dragged his two best friends away from the scene, ignoring the protests coming from them both.
“But I thought we’re heading back …”
“Kazuya!!!”
-*-
Unlike his friends who straight away went to their rooms to have their rest after a long day of shopping, Kazuya decided to walk around the beach for awhile before heading back. He smiled when he saw surfer Ryo walking towards the sandy sand, his right hand holding his surf board tight.
“Ryo-kun!”
“Ah, Kazuya!” Ryo flashed a smile. “I’m done with surfing for today, heading back towards the hotel right now.”
“That’s a pity! I thought I could watch you surf again today.” Kazuya shook his head, pretending to be upset. However he laughed it off, saying that he was only joking, when Ryo looked at him rather regretfully.
Someone was watching this scene with such evil glares, the both of them not noticing at all.
“You sure know how to fool people. You should be an actor.” Ryo teased.
“Maybe.” Kazuya laughed. “Though it’s still too early to think about it.”
“How old are you?”
“I’m turning 18 in November this year.”
Ryo nods, “The same age as …” He blinked, realising that there was a mysterious man with dark sunglasses standing behind his new-made friend.
Kazuya flashed Ryo a confused look, following his gaze, he screamed when he notice that Jin was suddenly standing behind him. “Ji …! When did you …” He couldn’t continue with his sentence as his boyfriend started to drag him towards the direction of the hotel.
Nishikido Ryo simply looked on, amused.
“Ryo-chan!”
His attention immediately turned to the source of the voice, focusing on the beautiful man who was walking towards him. Uchi Hiroki, the love of his life.
Ryo smiled.
-*-
“Jin, what was that for?” Kazuya let out his anger the moment the both of them stepped into Jin’s Suite. He rubbed his sore arm painfully as he glared at Jin, not understanding the reason why Jin acted that way. He was talking to Ryo, and his boyfriend dragged him away without a word!
He never knew that Jin was this rude; he’d always thought him as a gentle person.
“You were obviously flirting with that guy! I just happened to be there, and see you two enjoying your time together. I couldn’t control my feelings so I had to take you away!”
“Jin, we were just talking!”
“That short guy might steal you away from me, and I don’t want to lose you!”
“Jin …”
His boyfriend paced around the room, looking totally frustrated. “I don’t even know why I get so annoyed when I see you with the other guy, it irritates me terribly! It almost seemed like I can kill that guy for flirting with my Kazuya! Ah, what the hell does this mean?” Jin raised his arms in desperation.
Kazuya grinned, moving closer to Jin. “Simple Jin, you’re jealous.” Their chests touching as he looked up at Jin with a smile planted on his face.
“Jealous?”
Kazuya nodded. “Every couple in love have a right to, as I did when I saw you shooting with sexy models earlier. At that moment, I want you, Jin, only for myself.”
“And I’m yours, forever will be.”
Jin ravished the boy on the lips, the both of them falling onto the bed, too indulged in their moment, together. Kazuya closed his eyes as he feels Jin on top of him, the other kissing him gently yet passionately on his lips and on his necks. It was pure ecstasy having Jin this close.
I love you.
-*-
Kazuya woke up in the middle of the night, his eyes fluttered open to see a sound asleep Jin by his side, his arms wrapped protectively around his waist. Touching Jin’s cheeks lovingly, Kazuya stared at the love of his life for a moment before planting a gentle kiss on his lips. The other did not stir despite that but instead a smile appeared on Jin’s sleeping face.
Forever, you said, will you really?

Author’s Note: Do you sense the angst? *runs* I only have a brief idea on what the next chapter is about though it’s still blur unless I typed it out. My angst is getting bad these days so I hope I won’t fail the next chapter. I’ll try my best to be inspired so that I can get the angst that I want. At least this chapter there’s some fluff, ne.
