The second date’s theme is simple, that was what Jin had planned. Instead of picking Kazuya up, they would meet outside the Cinema, catching a movie that both of them loved to watch together. Jin arrived at the designated place twenty minutes early, his hands shaking as he waited by the corner in nervousness.
“Jin.”
Kazuya stood in front of him with a smile causing Jin to immediately straighten his posture, and greeted her back, glancing down at her attire today. She wore faded jeans, simple designed t-shirt and necklaces to go along with it, her shoulder-length hair let down. How can a simple fashion that Kazuya donned looked so good on her?
“Have you been waiting long?” Kazuya asked.
“No, not that long. Don’t worry.”
That wasn’t exactly the truth but Jin wasn’t lying either when he said that, because if waiting twenty minutes seemed too long for anyone else, it isn’t for him. Five minutes, ten, twenty, Jin would wait forever for his dear beloved. The torture of waiting was not due to the irritation that he had to waste his precious time but rather the fear whether his princess would come or not arises.
“So what time does the movie starts?”
Jin looked at the two tickets he’s holding, glancing at his wrist watch soon after. “Hmm, we have fifteen more minutes before it starts. Let’s go buy our popcorn first, okay?”
Kazuya simply nodded, following him to the food counter.
“Sweet one, right?” Jin faced his girlfriend who mouthed a soft ‘yes’ to that question. “We’ll have a large Combo set, Pepsi as our drink and sweet flavoured popcorn.” Once he’d made his payment, Jin handed Kazuya the box of popcorn while he held the drinks with one hand and the tickets on the other.
Taking Kazuya’s hand in his, he guided them to their allocated theatre.

Kazuya shifted closer to Jin when the movie was about to start, and even though it’s dark, she could see the gentle smile he flashed. The seats in this Theatre are special as its couple seats, allowing the couple to move closer to each other whenever they want to without any restriction.
The ten minutes of advertisements finally ended, signalling the start of the movie they both been waiting for. Jin held Kazuya’s left hand, squeezing it tight before returning his gaze to the large screen.
Spending time like this, they were content.

Two hours passed by in a flash, the movie was over before they knew it. Nevertheless, it was a heart wrenching love story. The darkness of the theatre was soon filled with light, what were left of the screen were the ending credits.
Jin turned to face Kazuya who had tears in her eyes. She looked up at him sadly while still clinging onto his arm. Flashing a small smile at her cuteness, Jin wiped away her tears, whispering as gentle as he could to her that they need to leave the theatre.
“Come on, sweetheart.” Jin stood up; the empty drinks on one hand while the other reaching out towards the seated Kazuya. “Let’s go.”
Kazuya nodded, placing her hand on Jin’s as she stood up, both of them walking out of the theatre.
“It was so sad! It was such a romantic movie yet the two had to have a tragic ending. The beginning was okay for me but I lost it from the second half of the movie.” Kazuya said once they were back at the entrance of the Cinema.
“Yeah, they really loved each other.” Jin nodded.
“Did you cry, Jin?” Kazuya just had to ask, and when he didn’t reply, she tried again. “Even at any point of time throughout the movie?”
“Hmm, maybe just a little.” Jin confessed.
Kazuya smiled. “So where are we going now?”
“Anywhere you want to go but we’ll have to take the train since I didn’t drive here.”
Kazuya thought for awhile but realising where they are, she beamed in excitement. “Jin, we’re already inside a shopping complex! We could do some shopping! I need to buy some stuff, and I think I should buy a few more clothes.”
“Sure, we could do just that.”

By the end of the day, the couple had a few bags on both of their hands. Jin helped Kazuya carry some of her bags since her hands seemed to be full of them. He wanted this day to be a simple date but he didn’t expect them to be shopping on quite a lot of stuffs, making him wished that he had drove here.
“Kazu, let’s take a cab.” Jin suggested when they were on their way towards the exit.
“Jin, it’s really alright. They’re not that heavy besides you’ve helped me carry a lot already.” Kazuya answered, referring to the bags she was holding. She appreciates Jin’s concern but taking a Cab is so expensive, it’s not worth it.
“I insist. It’s getting dark anyway.”
“But Jin …”
“I want to make sure I sent you home to safety. Let’s just take the Cab, okay?”
Kazuya gave in eventually. It was no good falling into an argument because of this trivial matter. The most important thing is she had enjoyed today’s date, and it was all thanks to Jin.

The shooting of Cartoon KAT-TUN happened to be an outdoor one so all of the members felt excited. They would only be told of their task when they’ve arrived on the filming scene. They stood in front of the camera, and when they were given the cue, they started talking, asking the director what they were supposed to do today.
“The theme is ‘The way to a girl’s heart.’”
KAT-TUN stared at the director in confusion, not understanding what he meant by that.
“You have 30 minutes each to a date with the same woman. You’ll be given some time to think before the filming starts. Where, and how your date would be, it all depends on you. The one you all get a date with is … Kamenashi-san!”
“Eh???” Kazuya stepped out, totally taken aback by what she was informed.
The other five members looked equally surprised too especially Jin, who doesn’t seem to like the idea of his girlfriend getting a date with the other four guys. Not that he didn’t trust them, they’re his friends after all, it just annoyed him that they get to spend some alone time with Kazuya.
“So that’s why you assigned me to wear a dress today!” Kazuya grunted, looking down at her knee length dress with simple floral prints on it.
“So we have to date Kame then what happens after that?” Nakamaru was the first to query about their task.
“Kamenashi-san will have to choose the winner by the end of all dates, ranking the ones that have the highest point to the lowest. The winner will be given exclusive present together with her but … the one with the lowest ranking will have to face a punishment!”
“Ehhhhh ….” This time, KAT-TUN started their grumbling. Whenever it comes to Cartoon KAT-TUN’s punishment, it always doesn’t sound good. The director made sure that the loser suffered a really bad punishment.
“You’re given fifteen minutes to think of a place you would want to bring Kamenashi-san. The place must not be outside of Tokyo due to time constraint. You’ll have to pretend that you’re meeting her for the first time.”
“Fifteen minutes?” Koki exclaimed in disbelief.
“That’s too short. It’s not fair!” Ueda added.
“That’s right. This is Kazuya we’re all going to date. Fifteen minutes is not enough.” Taguchi interrupted.
“Taguchi, shut up!” The guys said in unison.
Kazuya looked at the five men, amused. This day sure will be exciting and different definitely.

The date will go as follows, Nakamaru, Koki, Ueda, Taguchi, and lastly Jin. While one is filming, the others all gathered inside a van to watch the small monitor.
Nakamaru’s date: Cafe
Nakamaru stood outside the Café he had chosen nervously, he knew he is bad when it comes to girls but for this special episode of Cartoon KAT-TUN, he would try his best … not to lose to the others. Deep in his heart, he already knew who would win. It was that obvious nevertheless this date idea sounds new and fun.
He bowed when Kazuya stood in front of him.
“Hajimemashite. I’m Nakamaru Yuichi.” He bowed again, reacting like someone who really is meeting Kazuya for the first time, it was nerve wrecking.
“Kamenashi Kazuya.” She bowed out of politeness.
“Then let’s go in.” Nakamaru opened the door for Kazuya, walking ahead of her into the Café. They settled themselves on a seat that’s secluded and far away from the entrance.
“Do you like cake?”
“I do like to eat cheese cake. They’re my favourite.” Kazuya replied.
“I see.” Nakamaru nodded. “Then let’s order cake and drinks.”
“Yes.”

In the Van
“That’s boring! All he did was talk one sentence and he fell into a silent mode.” Koki said.
“As expected of Nakamaru …” Ueda whispered.
“Yeah …”
While the three gave comments on Nakamaru’s date, Jin was in a deep thought, preparing for his date mentally. Since he would be the last one, it gave him sufficient time to prepare his special date, which he was sure, would be one of a kind from the others.
Kazuya is after all his girlfriend.
~`~
Koki’s date: Street shopping
The woman acting as their date was none other than Kazuya so that made things easier. For instance, he did not feel awkward being around her. Well because he had known Kazuya for so many years but as the terms to the date stated that they’re meeting for the first time so he had no choice but to act as directed.
“Look at this.” Koki showed a cap to Kazuya who took a closer look on it. “Isn’t this nice?”
Kazuya simply nodded, taken aback when Koki slipped the cap onto her head.
“This is my present for you.”
Koki even grabbed Kazuya’s hand when they were out of the store. He was daring like that, not caring if he would probably get killed by someone. This is after all acting, it isn’t real.
For a fake date like this, Koki sure was having his fun.
~`~
Ueda’s date: Meiju Jingu Shrine
The both of them paid their respects first before writing down their prayers on the wooden boards, after which they explored the place whilst deep in conversation. Before they knew it, the time for their date soon ended.
“Thank you, Tat-chan.” Kazuya whispered to Ueda before proceeding back to the vehicle.
Ueda waved back and smiled.
This date was not a date between couples but more of a hangout between two close friends, she was thankful that she got to spend some alone time with Ueda. It was rather meaningful. Kazuya felt touched by something that Ueda did for her today.
The camera zoomed in on their wishes.
‘Let Kazuya be happy (with the man she loves).’ Ueda Tatsuya
‘Love is a wonderful feeling. I want to love, and be loved, always.’ Kamenashi Kazuya.

Taguchi’s date: Local restaurant for Lunch
“Hello. Iriguchi-Deguchi-Taguchi desu!” Taguchi made his trademark pun the minute Kazuya arrived on scene.
Kazuya tried hard to not laugh, looking at him with a blank expression. “I’m Kamenashi Kazuya.”
“Kazuya then!”
“Eh?” She slipped, blinking at Taguchi.
“Let’s have our delicious lunch, Kazu~ya!” He exclaimed excitedly, opening the door for her like a gentleman as he guided to their seat.
All throughout the date, they were eating with Taguchi doing their cold jokes every few minutes.

Akanishi Jin: Orphanage House
Kazuya stepped out of the vehicle, reading the signboard on the gates. This seemed something new to her as Jin never did bring her to this kind of places nevertheless she anticipated what Jin has for her. Scanning the area, she realised that Jin was nowhere to be found.
“That’s weird.” She thought.
Kazuya walked with slow and steady steps towards the main door. She took a step back when a swarm of kids rushed towards her. She glanced up to see Jin standing by the door, arms crossed.
“Kazuya nee-chan!” The kids greeted all at once causing Kazuya to kneel down, trying to hug them all.
“Ah, you’re all so cute!!!” Kazuya ruffled their hairs. In that position, she looked up at Jin, and smiled.
“Kazuya nee-chan, we’ve prepared a small party for you!”
“Yeah, let’s go inside!”
The kids held her hands, and pulled her inside, all excited to show what they have in store for their special guest. Jin followed silently behind.
“Jin nii-chan and all of us prepared some sandwiches and drinks, like a picnic. Try them, Kazuya nee-chan.”
Kazuya nodded, placing a few sandwiches onto a plate, sitting next to Jin. While eating, the both of them joked around, forgetting that the camera is still rolling. Once done with the refreshments, they played games with the kids, laughing around, the smile on Kazuya’s face not once did it fade away.
“For our last event for today … Kids?”
They nodded in understanding, all of them quickly settled into their seats that had positioned to look like a circle. Jin gestured for Kazuya to do the same. Once everyone had settled down, he disappeared into a room, coming out with a guitar on his hands.
“Jin …”
“I dedicate this song to you precious kids and to my special someone, Kazuya. Here’s Care from me.” Jin strummed his guitar and started singing.
Nareai to uso no naka de bukiyou na ai seoi
Jikan ni oware iya ni natteta hi ni
Sukoshi jiyuu kanjita

Meanwhile, the T-TUN who were gathered inside the van looked at the monitor intently. Unlike their dates with Kazuya, Jin’s one is the far most different. It was so sweet and romantic despite not having alone time together but with many others.
“Awwww ….”
Though the four was kept in the dark about the couple’s reunion, they know that the love between the two is so strong, to fade away. The shooting of this show’s episode made them hopeful that the two of them would get back together eventually.
~`~
The kids and teachers clapped at the awesome performance by Jin. Tears had started to form in Kazuya’s eyes when Jin was singing, and when he was done, she could no longer prevent them from falling. Her cheeks wet from her tears, and even when Jin handed her a banquet of sunflowers, she was still crying.
“Thank you.” Kazuya managed to voice out, her tone breaking.
Jin flashed a small smile, unable to resist the urge to pull his girlfriend into his embrace. He patted her back gently while listening to her soft cries. The others in the room applauded in a form of encouragement, and even if the kids didn’t really understand what was going on, they cheered in happiness for the two.
~`~
“The result time …!” Nakamaru clapped. “Kamenashi-san, please do the honours!”
“Yes.”
There were small circle of cardboards that had the numbers (2) to (5) written on it, and a rose especially for the winner of this date contest. Even though the winner was clear to them, they’re excited as to who would be the loser.
“No.4 is Taguchi.” Kazuya announced without any hesitation.
“Eh? That’s a waste. I thought I was the best.” He made a sad face, earning a smack on the head by the others.
“Taguchi is kind of … annoying. He really is annoying. I can’t stand his cold jokes.” The others clapped and laughed out loud. “The food’s really delicious though.”
“No.3 … Koki.” Gesturing to the cap, Kazuya said, “Thanks for this! I take this as your friendship present to me! The idea of shopping sounds fun since I love shopping. That’s a bonus point.”
“No. 2 …” Kazuya pretended to be in a deep thought, looking as if it was a hard decision for her to choose. “It has to be Ueda.” She smiled at her friend.
“Akanishi Jin and Nakamaru Yuichi are left! This means that one of them is the winner, and the other is the loser!!!!” Koki shouted, bringing his fists up to the air.
Kazuya held the rose with both of her hands. She looked down and closed her eyes, waiting for a minute or two. Her eyes soon fluttered open, her lips formed into one large smile as she stepped forward, confident of her choice.
“The one who managed to make me the happiest, the one who brought smile to my face, the one who touched me greatly with his melodious voice and beautiful music is none other than my boyfriend, Akanishi Jin.”
“Congratulations, Jin.” She handed out the rose which Jin accepted happily.
“Thank you.”
T-TU cheered, not realising the use of the word ‘boyfriend’, thinking that this is a good start for both Kazuya and Jin. Nakamaru however looked glum, not because he was unhappy with the results but rather the fact that he had to do the punishment.
“So what’s the present for them?” Taguchi asked.
The director simply handed them an envelope. The members stood closer to read the content of the card placed inside it.
“The gift is an exquisite candlelight dinner for the couple at a five star restaurant.” Koki read.
“Wow …”
“Ne, what about the loser?” Ueda suddenly asked causing the others except Nakamaru to glance at the director, obviously wanting some answer.
“That will be revealed later.”
The director answered with a calm tone, causing the guys to grunt in dissatisfaction.

Back in KAT-TUN’s dressing room, the members were all seated on the couches, tired from the outdoor activity. It’s turning dark soon so Nakamaru suggested if they want to eat dinner together, all six of them. Taguchi, Ueda and Koki agreed instantly while Jin and Kazuya looked reluctant.
“Sorry, I have a promise with someone else. You guys have fun!” Jin quickly packed his bag, slinging it onto his arm, locking gaze with Kazuya for one brief moment before walking out of the dressing room, waving them goodbye.
“How about you?” Nakamaru turned to face the youngest member.
“Hmm …” Kazuya went off to carry her handbag that she had packed earlier on, and stood up. “I have something on. I’m sorry I can’t join you guys. Maybe next time, alright?” She left the room too.
“Man, that’s boring! Both Kazuya and Jin has something on …” Junno whined.
“The both of them coincidentally have something on at the same time. Doesn’t that sound suspicious?” Ueda voiced out, flashing a grin.
“Ah, don’t tell me!” Nakamaru shouted. “Let’s spy on them! See if we can catch them red-handed!”
Taguchi and Koki nodded excitedly, they were in step next to Nakamaru while Ueda followed slowly behind. Soon they were on the lobby of the building, scanning for someone or rather a couple.
“There!” Nakamaru whispered.
Kazuya stood next to Jin, smiling. They talked for a few minutes before Jin held Kazuya’s hand, the both of them walking out of the building hand in hand, a smile adorning both of their faces.
“That’s what they meant by having something on. They should just have told us!” Koki complained.
“When they’re ready, they’ll tell us. I’m just happy that they’re back together.” Ueda voiced a piece of his mind which the others couldn’t help but nod, agreeing to whatever he had said.
Steadily, step by step, the two would grow closer than ever before.
