Currrently Played Characters: None

Character Information

General
Canon Source: Doctor Who
Canon Format: Television program
Character's Name: Meta-crisis Tenth Doctor or John Smith
Character's Age: Technically he's only been alive for a month but he's has memories of living over nine-hundred years, who appears in the form of a man in his mid thirties. So it all very complicated, but for the sake of normalcy, he claims to be 36

What form will your character's NV take? Regular GSM mobile.

Abilities
Character's Canon Abilities: Technically John had no real powers and the only thing superhuman about him is the knowledge in his head, his skills with technology and what he knows of time and space. He also knows several important equations for things such as time travel and inter-dimensional travel as well as a vast knowledge of history and the world. He has knowledge of time, space and the universe thanks to the Time Lord part of him. His all round talent with technology and general facts spans from his past knowledge, only limited by his human side.
Conditional: If your character has no superhuman canon abilities, what dormant ability will you give them? If need be, John has a lot of dormant biological and mental abilities that can be potential develop in a half Time Lord. Not only are they physically built to withstand more than humans but they're mental capacity is far beyond humans. They have superior intelligence as well as biological pluses such as being perfectly in tune with time, having a respiratory bypass system and a somewhat weak form of telepathy.
Weapons: Much like his Time Lord self, John doesn't carry weapons. The closest he has is his sonic screwdriver and its currently a little broken.

History/Personality/Plans/etc.
Character History: John doesn't have along canon but all the details of his own personal history is here. If any more information is needed, I'd be happy to supply it.
Point in Canon: Post Journeys End, John was left behind on the beach by the Doctor after his act of mass genocide on the Daleks. The Doctor saw him as unsafe and left him with the Tyler family so he could adapt to humanity and work with Rose to adapt to his new life. John will be taken a month into these events.
Conditional: Brief summary of previous RP history: Johns time in the The Long Now RPG came from his attempt to make a teleport to get out and about a bit more. Of course the device backfired on him and he ended up in a hotel in the English countryside that was impossible to escape from. There he met Rose once more but with one catch - she was from the wrong point in time. This caused constant frustration, knowing she didn't know or understand what the other her did about him. He spent most of his time with Sherlock, his intellectual equal, who he formed a close bond with that occasionally bordered on oddly romantic, in their own weird way. John constantly got himself and others into danger but he usually managed to find a way to fix it, finding great joy in any sort of adventure or task to keep him busy. His relationship with Rose was always a bit unsteady but he found great preference to having her as a close mate.

Character Personality: John Smith is very much like his Time Lord counterpart, he's friendly, enthusiastic, respectful of the universe and any worlds within said universe and he can display moments of all round brilliance. He does have a tendency to go on a bit and talk peoples heads off but its all a part of his charm. His friendly nature is instinctive, with odd quirks that may seem off to most humans but go unnoticed by the man himself. He doesn't hate or loath in general, he tends to be patient and understanding. Though, he doesn't take kindly to betrayal or deceit and much like the tenth regeneration of the Doctor, he doesn't offer many second chances.

While he gets a lot of his traits from the Doctor, he does have a lot of traits from Donna Noble. Most obvious one being his tendency to be quite loud and rude, generally in an unintentional manner, he blurts out things without thinking and doesn't consider the consequences. Along with her brash demeanour, he seems to of taken on some of her insecurities, particular when it comes to how he stands with the world. Being between both human and Time Lord, its obvious he doesn't exactly fit properly anywhere and with his once flawless mind now housed in a human brain, he often worries about his own intellect failing him. He still remembers being the Doctor perfectly and losing that life wasn't easy, the only thing he really has over humans is his intellect.

It still seems somewhat foreign to him to be on par with humanity, leaving him at a distance with people in that respect. Though he does greatly appreciate and respect humans much more now since experiencing the difficulties of their lives, that doesn't mean that he sees himself as necessarily one of them. As the Doctor, he spent a long time as a protector who walks among them and therefore its his job to watch over those around him. Its a hard habit to break and he still sees himself as above them. Even if he is no longer beyond humanity, he acts as if he is which leaves him as an outsider.

Although he can come across as fairly worldly and wise, he has a tendency to be somewhat naive and oblivious at times. Often he's utterly unaware of others feelings towards him. With no specific interest in such a thing, it tends to go right over his head as do most of the basic human interest and concepts, such as enjoying a domestic lifestyle and embracing time in its linear form. As someone whose lived for over nine hundred years travelling and seeing the world, adjusting to life as a human proves to be both fascinating, frustrating and confusing at times. He doesn't like to show his own weaknesses, especially not in front of someone like Rose, so he often puts on a happy face. He wants to keep up a confident appearance and refuses to show his own insecurities.

His Time Lord side gives him access to knowledge that many humans couldn't even comprehend. However his logic and genius is somewhat hindered by his human side that will act more on emotions than facts. John was born in the heat of battle and he's more destructive and harsher than the Doctor, quick to violence and dangerous solutions instead of a more pacifist alternative. Unlike the Doctor, his morality is flexible at times and he isn't above taking a utilitarian stance of his actions. He has all the wisdom, talent and brilliance of a Time Lord but the irrational emotional responses of a human, leading his decisions to be rather conflicted. John is constrained by how he feels in a situation and tends to work on gut feeling while the Doctor would act more upon the knowledge and his own personal morality.

Conditional: Personality development in previous game: When John arrived, he was definitely brash and very sure of himself, even if he was somewhat bored by the trivial human issues and experience. Finding himself somewhat at odds with Rose and constantly making errors, he lost some of his confidence but never his upbeat manner or quirky oddness. He became more self aware of what he was saying and a bit more considerate towards the feelings of others, though his showing off never went away, if anything he did so more often to try and impress his friends there.
Character Plans: There is so much to explore when it comes to a character like the metacrisis Doctor, whose canon is left fairly open to interpretation, its fun to explore the possibilities. Along with that, I enjoy throwing John into different and unique situations that allow for character development, creating relationships but having an interesting plot going on alongside it. I really want to explore the CR I already have from thelongnow in more depth while making new connections.

Appearance/PB: Metacrisis Ten is played by David Tennant, picture is here and here.

Alright, ow. That definitely hurt. [There's a noise that's definitely someone moving in the background, the device being fumbled between hands.] Yep, just double checked, that's pain alright and not-- oh. Oh! It worked. It actually worked!

--Didn't it? Were we aiming for America? Never mind, it worked and erm, wait -- Rose? Rose, are you listening?... Where'd you go? [Of course, it took him long enough to realise she wasn't there, course that didn't stop him from talking away at himself. Though his voice drops into a small murmur.] Course you aren't, you're not around. Well, probably around... or vapourish from the travel. Oh that isn't good, hopefully its not the latter.

[There's definitely noise of shoes scuffing on the ground as John starts to move along... well, wherever he is]

Helloooo! Anyone out there? I'm friendly, promise. I'm just a bit lost and honestly, I don't know how to play baseball so I'm rather useless here.

He'd die a happy man if he could just know where he was for once. He thought being human was the end of the road, no more excitement or adventures and yet, he hadn't stopped moving since he went back with Rose. All these new worlds and places to explore. It'd be more fun if it weren't for the fact that it usually ended with them stuck somewhere.

He had a feeling Rose was going to start blaming him for all of this, especially if she wound up trapped here as well. He seemed to attract oddities and while that was fun for him, it probably wasn't for those around him. In all fairness, Rose did complain that he never took her anyway. Well, that case was definitely nullified now.

Picking at the slightly off coloured grass, he shoved a piece into his mouth as a taste test. Course, he only realise after that what his error had been and swiftly spat it back out in disgust. Before he would break everything down in his mouth, take it apart molecule by molecule then analyse it carefully, try to locate familiar tastes and see if they linked with anything in time that he was familiar with. Now, grass was just grass. And it was horrible. Standing up, he surveyed the odd little baseball field, part of him curious where the people were. They had to be somewhere.

"It's like in a terrible horror film where everyones dead. Always that cliche bit where they yell out in the hopes of a response. Well, you know what they say, when in Rome," John mused aloud to himself as he looked about, heading straight ahead in the hopes of finding something or someone. "When in Rome... blimey, that phrase is still going. I was there when that phrase was coined, you kno--"

Right, yes, he had no companions or friends around. He really had to stop doing that, he'd look like a loony.
