Five minutes ago, I finished my Chrysalis edits. This is why I'm a day late for my post. Last night I wasn't done and I was so close and I decided I wasn't stopping for anything. I got into an editing groove last night and completely spaced sharing my editing joy.

I am conquering my Editing Block, much the same way I conquered my Writing Block. Slowly. My biggest obstacle is my writing sickness. I love it too much and would rather write character histories than fix the scene I'm writing character histories for.

This will be brief. I'm rapidly approaching the point of exhaustion where my inner toddler would be screaming because I'm over tired and all I want to do is sleep but it eludes me. In two hours I'm drugging myself.

I'm pretty sure that these last two weeks have conspired to kill me in unexpected ways. We've just had our busiest month at work in a very long time and I'm definitely not getting the kind of sleep I need, let alone deserve >.>

This week was a bit of a whirlwind. My struggle against the first few chapters of Chrysalis had not been going well. I'd attacked my notes and new outline but it wasn't working. I was gradually coming to the conclusion that I needed to completely rewrite the beginning.
