And so Time calls back one of her children.
Perhaps it was too much to ask that Toshiko would be given a chance to live a life here in the City. I should have known that Time would seek out a way to exert it's influence, regardless of how far we ran to escape. Maybe Tosh will go back to a different outcome, though if I know this fickle bastard I travel with, it will be a world where it is Gwen who took the bullet or Ianto.
Time's cruel like that, every check must have a balance. Still, maybe there is somewhere, sometime where Tommy is waiting for her. I'll hope for that, make myself believe in it. I wish ... well, I can't change how she feels about my decision, I didn't have ... heh, time for that. Gwen and Ianto will see her off and that's what matters, that they all get a chance to say goodbye.
From what I've heard Luke and Leia are gone as well. Back to their own time, to the worlds that need them. I know it's as it should be but I'll miss their friendship and wisdom. Leia will be one hell of a politician whereever they go and Luke, Luke will make all the difference in the world.
I wish them well.
Faye's gone as well. Again, good that she is back in her time, back in her world but I'll miss her. She is a hell of a lady -oh she'd kill me for that- but she is a good person, who might not have been the classic definintion of a friend but you knew she had your back and that's something to cherish.

Four good friends gone or going but it's the way of things, at least it's the way of things for me. I can't complain really, I had a chance to know them all, to work with Tosh and those are memories I'll carry with me and I wouldn't give them up, not for the world.
Speaking of memories, in lighter news ... oh but Ianto and Kyle are giving me some precious ones. I'm so proud of Ianto, not just because of the sex but that after everything he's been through, he's found the strength to still be open enough to bring a friend in close. Every day that strength never ceases to amaze me and I love to see Ianto share parts of himself that he keeps so closed away with another. Ianto has so much love and care to give, it's good to see him have the chance and express the trust to share it with others.
And Kyle ... I wouldn't have trusted Ianto with just anyone but Kyle's special. Warren is a lucky man and though we might never meet, I promise you, Warren, we'll keep Kyle safe until he's back with you. Kyle's a good friend and also incredibly gorgeous but that's a given, but I don't have many friends who aren't also my team. Kyle's wriggled his way into that category, crafty fellow that he is, of course now he's one of mine which means watching over him. I'm sure Ianto will warn him what a pest I can be about that!
Watching he and Ianto together both in bed and out, they make me smile, even as they keep me on my toes!

I won't say 'I'm sorry', since we know they have gone to do the duty they were meant to do but I regret that they've left. They were good friends and two of some of the best people I've ever met, I don't know the whole story but you should be proud of them, Anakin.
