Well, kiddos, another week has come and gone. Though, last week is really a blur. I finally caught one of the many illnesses that seems to be plaguing everyone else in btown. It started Monday with fatigue and slight nausea. Tuesday I woke up dizzy and just not feeling like myself, but I had a great 60 minute cardio workout including a 4 mile run. Two years ago, I would have laughed at this, but since i've lost any fitness i once had, that is a good workout. Anyway, Tuesday post workout, the cough started and that night the fever hit. I can handle being sick and going about my daily routine, but fevers just run me down so bad. I didn't sleep Tuesday night thanks to sweating and cold chills. I took Tylenol even though I am anti-drugs. Well, it progressed into a sore throat, earache, and headache. I finally gave in and went to the Health Center Thursday when the fever didn't break. My temp at the HC was 101 and that was just 3 hours after Tylenol so I can't imagine what it got up to at night. But, I got my antibiotics and was on my way. I can't remember the last time I had an antibiotic, i am thinking highschool, but they are miracle workers. Besides a cough and minor headache, I feel almost normal again. The only negative of the antibiotic I am on is that it makes me dizzy. So, i get a little spacey about an hour after taking it, but it makes things a little more interesting. haha.
Thursday, Caroline was in town for study abroad stuff. We had a sleepover and visited Steve and Barry's. It was a lot of fun, i wish i could have been more entertaining but the sickness had control. Sorry Caroline!!
Jennifer is in town tomorrow but thanks to my favorite 8-8 shift, i probably won't get to see her. She is moving to Chicago in a couple weeks, so i guess i'll just have to go visit her there, darn. (please note extreme sarcasm, i would go to chicago any chance i got).
Jaime is coming to visit next week because she has an interview in Louisville. Congrats Jaime!!! Unfortunately, this is my hell week with 4 exams and Physics homework, but by Wednesday night almost all of that will be done so we are going to go out for old times sake.
Next, Saturday I leave for West Virginia. I can't wait for the break from school and work. This trip is nothing like i've done before, but it should be a lot of fun. I had a meeting finalzing the last few details so i finally got to meet everyone who was going and we have an awesome group. There were a lot more people going that I knew as well. I also volunteered to drive because you have to be 21 and most of the group is underage. So, I get to drive a 12 passenger van. That ought to be very interesting.
That's all for now, nothing exciting. This will probably be the final post before spring break as well, so for all you college kids on break in the next few weeks, be safe but have fun and make a lot of memories!
