Despite the very evidence of death that residents of Chicago live with every day, it's still shocking when one of their own passes.

The Field Museum:

It's early evening when one of the younger vampires stumbles across the dripping corpse of one of his friends. He's been impaled on one of the places werewolf heads are usually affixed. There are marks of teeth and claws on his body, as well.
