A slow blink, but sharp eyes, Claire licks one canine and tilts her head, watching. They'd been out hunting, her and two that she would expect to protect her.
Leaving the other two vamps, she approaches, heels loud on concrete.
There is, if you listen, the careful, quiet padpadpad of four soft feet. There is, if you look, a slightly lanky wolf, grey and calm, walking down the street. He happens to be going the same way as the human, on the far side of the road, and a little faster. Hence why he caught up.
His tail is level and wags very, very slowly. He is keeping his eye on her, ready to bolt.
The wolf dislikes guns. They are loud and smell bad.
If you can read wolf-speak, he isn't saying threat. He's saying a respectful, distanced hello. You can walk your way just fine by me. As long as you don't shoot.
