A/N: Final chapter~!
Chapter Fourteen:
Siwon's reaction was sudden and loud. Leeteuk flinched at the onslaught of swearing he'd never heard from his friend. "Siwonnie! Calm down listen! Yelling isn't going to change it. I suggest you go see him and confess or you'll lose him. I'm pretty sure he's not going to come back." He said frowning. Siwon, breathing hard, glared at him. "Why did you all hide it?" He asked. "Because You would have done something stupid." Leeteuk said matter of factly.
Rushing from the room, Siwon hurried down the hall towards Yesung's room. He opened the door to find Kangin there visiting and moved between them, ignoring Kangin's protests as he leaned over and pressed a kiss to Yesung's lips.
At home, Ryeowook sat in his room, not looking up when his door opened again an hour after Kyuhyun and Henry left. "Ryeowook!" It was Henry again, alone. He knelt down beside Ryeowook's bleeding, panting form. Henry reached for the razor in Ryeowook's hand and the elder yanked it away, grabbing Henry's arm and carving his name into it. "Henli..... please I remember you. I love you. You don't love Kyuhyun, please tell me you don't! I hate him enough as it is! He stole Minnie from me and now you too?! Please don't make me go through it again...." He trailed off, reaching and putting his oxygen mask on, chest heaving.
Henry was shocked. ~He remembers..... it all?~ He looked down at his bleeding arm and couldn't help but feel he deserved it.
In America, Sungmin dialed Kyuhyun's number having gotten it after looking in old papers. Kibum watched him expectantly. "Kyu-ah. This is bad to say over voice mail. You can't know where I am but I need to know, are you alright? Do you miss me? Have you moved on? Do you still love me? If you call back I won't answer probably but you can leave a message. It's important for you to answer these." He said to the phone. He sighed and hung up, looking at Kibum. "Kibummie......" He said before pressing a soft kiss to his lips. "I don't know what to think but.... I'm glad you're here."
Kibum wound his arms around Sungmin, tucking the other's head into the crook of his neck. "I can wait until you are completely over him, Minnie. I'll always be here for you."
As the ceremony ended, Hankyung grabbed Heechul's wrist and quickly pulled him into the bathroom of the building the wedding was held in. He pressed kisses all over Heechul's face and started trailing them down his neck, only to be stopped when someone knocked on the door. He growled under his breath as he pulled it open, seeing Zhoumi standing there.
"You have about an hour to get to the airport and to get through security or you'll miss your flight to America," Zhoumi informed them.
"You like sharp in that suit," Heechul teased him playfully as Hankyung led him out of the bathroom. "If I wasn't a married man now, you'd be on the top of my list to hook up with." He yelped when Hankyung tugged on his arm. "Hannie, that hurt!"
"Then don't flirt with my best man, dear. Let's go or we'll be late," Hankyung said, smiling at the way Heechul pouted at him.
Zhou Mi looked after them, smiling. "Heechul you don't know how much I'd agree with you but again, you're a married man." He said smiling as he watched them leave.
At his home, Kyuhyun listened to Sungmin's message over and over. He dialed the number back, writing it down as he did. "Sungmin. I still love you. I always will. I miss you so badly. I want you home. I want to look for you but I don't know where to start..... Saranghaeyo. I could never move on." He whispered, hanging up the phone.
Henry sat with Ryeowook in his room, bandaging his and the other's wounds. "I still love you Wook. I was just really hurt by what happened." Henry ventured. Ryeowook smiled. "I know and I'm sorry. I wanted Sungmin to pay attention to me. Lixu is still here and he knows me in and out... I want to erase him." He said reaching for the glass again. Henry stopped him. "No, Ryeowook." The elder smiled. "It's better this way." He said picking it up again. Henry screamed in protest as Ryeowook brought it over his eyes, snatching the glass away from him, resulting in them both being cut. "Never hurt yourself. Not with me." He said frowning.
Heechul smiled as he boarded the plane with Hangeng. "Wo Ai Ni."
Eeteuk stood in the doorway, astonished as Yesung made out with Siwon. "What the hell? When did this happ.... why aren't you stopping him?!" Kangin shouted but Eeteuk shushed him, only stopping Siwon when it went a little far. "Siwon... I'm sure he's going to give you his number just let the boy breathe." He said laughing.
Siwon grinned, his and Yesung's faces red. "I'll see you later, Yesung." Siwon gave him a quick peck on his lips, smiling when Yesung reacted quickly to the kiss, trapping Siwon's face against his by wrapping his arms around the other's neck. It only took a split second for Leeteuk and Kangin to pry the two apart, Leeteuk dragging Siwon from the room with an amused smiled on his face.
“I’ll call you!" Yesung shouted after them, grinning like a fool before Kangin pinched his cheek. "Ow. Kangin, what was that for?""Come on, Yesung. Let's get you home. You have all the time in the world to play tonsil hockey with him." Kangin waited for a nurse to come with a wheelchair to take him away, toward the entrance and finally to freedom outside those too white walls.
When the plane landed in America, Heechul waited for Hankyung to get their bags before the two walked, hands clasped tightly together, to the cab awaiting them outside. It took them to their hotel wear the two showered and got ready for a romantic dinner that was the beginning of their married life together. They didn't go overboard with the restaurant, deciding that a simple one was better than an extravagant, expensive one that would bankrupt them.
"Hannie, doesn't that person look familiar over there?" Heechul asked in a whisper as he peered over his menu to a trio a few tables away. "He looks kind of like Sungmin, doesn't he?""Why would Sungmin be in America?" Hankyung replied, scanning over his menu and not bothering to look over.
Heechul kept glancing over at the table, every time telling himself mentally that it was the bunny from Korea. It was only when the three at that table laughed that Heechul finally got confirmation on who it was. There was only one person who laughed that way and it was definitely the bunny. Heechul stood and made his way over to the table, causing Hankyung to bury his face into his menu, afraid of Heechul making a scene.
"I thought that was you, Min," Heechul said, smiling sweetly at him.
Sungmin froze at hearing Heechul's voice, slowly turning his head to meet the other's gaze. "H-hi, Heechul hyung. Long time no see," Sungmin responded.
"What are you doing in America, Min?"
Sungmin turned back around, facing Kibum before he closed his eyes to answer Heechul. "I moved here a while ago with my dad. Out of all the places you could have gone, why did you come here? Things were going fine when no one knew where I was.
"Heechul frowned. "Wait. You mean...not even Kyuhyun and Ryeowook know where to find you?"
Sungmin frowned. "Neither of them know. They can't know. But why are you here?" He asked again, wanting the topic to change. They were speaking in Korean but everyone at the table understood. Just so outsiders couldn't. "Ah, me and Hannie are on our honeymoon!" Heechul said grinning, hand coming up to show off the ring. Sungmin gaped. "HanGeng's here? Where? Congrats! Omo. Hannie!" He squeaked, getting up and running to tackle hug Hankyung. He missed the lovable chinaman. People were staring but shrugged it off. "Congrats Hannie! You do realize with Chul, it really is till DEATH do you part right?" He joked, earning a slap from Heechul. "Let's pull our tables together." Kibum offered, knowing Sungmin missed his friends.
Once their food was brought out, Hankyung asked what Heechul had also wanted to know. "So Sungmin, what made you come here?" He asked. Sungmin sighed, it was unavoidable. "The Wookie incident and also Kyuhyun. He accused me of letting it happen." He spoke, causing the eldest to choke.
"He WHAT?! Imma kill him. I will shank his mother fucking ass!" He shouted, seething. Hankyung patted his head, trying to get him to calm down. Kibum and Casey laughed.
"Min you have great friends." Kibum said.
Hankyung smiled. "Well I promise we won't tell as long as it isn't necessary. Kyuhyun has been kinda depressed though. Ah, Ryeowook's memory is back from what I've heard. I didn't get much else out of Henry though." He said.
Heechul choked again, pointing at Casey. "THAT's who you look like. He resembles Mochi!" He shouted. Casey shook his head, laughing at the elder.
Ryeowook's mother peered inside his room, checking on her son. She saw Henry and Ryeowook curled up on the bed, no space between them, Henry's fingers running through Ryeowook's hair. She backed out and closed the door with a smile. "Henli, Mianhae." Ryeowook whispered, knowing that wasn't enough. "I should be saying sorry. I was outright mean to you." Henry said hugging Ryeowook tightly. He regretted helping Kyuhyun. He knew Sungmin wouldn't come back.
At the restaurant, Sungmin excused himself to the restroom to go check his phone. He listened to Kyuhyun's upsetting message and felt tears. "Saranghaeyo, Kyuhyunnie..." He whispered, listening to it. He hesitantly dialed Kyuhyun's number, hoping he'd pick up. His mind told him Kibum, but his heart was torn between the two.
When Sungmin heard Kyuhyun's voice on the other line, groggy from sleep, his heart clenched painfully. "K-Kyu?" When he heard the younger's voice, the tears slipped down his cheeks. "Kyu, I'm sorry, but I can't come see you. I can't face you right now. I love you, but I need to try to get along without you for a little while." Sungmin hung up, covering his mouth as a sob escaped him. He turned away from the door when he saw it open, not wanting to face whoever it was.
"Yah, Min, are you okay?" Heechul asked, hurrying to his side. After seeing the tears streaking the younger's face, Heechul sort of panicked. "I'll have your friends take you home. You can't function right now. Come on." Heechul helped Sungmin walk, causing Kibum, Casey, and Hankyung to all look over, worry the only expression on their faces.
"What's wrong with Sungmin?" Kibum asked, placing his napkin down and standing up to help Heechul with him.
"I don't know. I went into the bathroom to take a leak and I saw him crying. Take him home, will you?" At Kibum's nod, Heechul turned to Hankyung, switching from speaking Korean to speaking Chinese. "It's Kui Xian related. He was on the phone with him. Something happened, but I'll call Kui Xian later to find out."
Hankyung nodded and watched at the other three left, paying for their half of the bill. Heechul sighed and sat down. "Aish, I still have to pee. Hang on be right back." He said irritably once his bladder cramped and reminded him of why he was in the restroom to begin with. Hankyung smiled. He loved that man.
In Seoul, Eeteuk arrived home, ready to sleep. He knew Kangin would call asking about this and that for Yesung. He laughed slightly. "I think it's about time I quit the emergency room." He muttered.
~Next Day~
Henry awoke to the sounds of puking and furrowed his eyebrows. He knew it was Wookie because said mouse wasn't in bed. He got up and went over to the bathroom, patting the other's back. "Wookie, what's wrong?" He asked. Ryeowook pouted. "Just... too hungry or something." He said quietly.
Henry frowned, but kept quiet. He rubbed soothing circles across Ryeowook's back, hoping that whatever ailed him would soon go away. He looked at his watch, holding in a sigh at the time. They were going to be late for school if they kept this up. "Wook, I'm going to ask your mom to call you off school for today and I'll call Kangin hyung to call me off so I can stay with you."
Ryeowook shook his head. "No, it's okay, Henry. You can go to school. My mom can look after me. I'll be fine after more sleep. Go on before you're late."
Henry nodded, leaving the elder's side with a frown. He asked Mrs. Kim to call Ryeowook off school and to keep him updated on his condition. He left the residence, heading straight for home so he could change and rush to school.
In America, Kibum watched Sungmin sleep. He sat in a chair by the other's bed, leaning his arms on the back of it as he waited for sleep to overtake him. Waiting was one of the only things he was bad at.
At their hotel, Heechul sat on the large bed, cross legged. "Hannie, I wonder what's going on with Kui Xian and Cheng Min. It has to be bad to make Sungmin react like that. Also to make him move here." He spoke.
Hankyung nodded. "Yeah. He told you that Kui Xian was accusing him of something though, right? I don't know I'll call him tomorrow morning. For now..." He pulled Heechul closer and smiled. "This IS our honeymoon."
Sitting at home, Eeteuk sat with Kangin, filling out the resignation forms for Eeteuk's job. "You're really quitting?" Kangin asked, watching as Yesung walked over to them slowly. "Why hyung? You're a great doctor. And your house is nice too." Yesung said as if that made all the difference. "Too old, too tired." Eeteuk said offhandedly as he reached for more papers. Yesung giggled. "Kangin dates an old man." He joked, making Eeteuk smile but Kangin fume.
About mid way through the day, Henry got a call from the office with a note from Ryeowook's mother. They relayed it to him saying Ryeowook was sick with a virus. Anything he ate wouldn't stay down. Henry was worried and whined for about ten minutes before going reluctantly back to class.
Henry approached Kyuhyun at lunch, the elder sitting with EunHae at their usual spot. He sat down, looking directly at Kyuhyun when he spoke. "I hate you," he said, causing Eunhyuk and Donghae to look over, eyes wide.
Kyuhyun chuckled. "You're just now saying this why? I thought you'd have come a long time ago and said you hated me. Sungmin isn't coming back and now Ryeowook is practically wasting away. You have a good reason to hate me, Henry," he replied, looking at the table. "I even hate myself. I caused Sungmin to leave by accusing him of...well, it doesn't matter anymore."
"Kyu, are you okay? You saying you hate yourself is a bit extreme, don't you think?" Donghae asked.
Kyuhyun shook his head. "I'm a cruel person, Hae. I wanted to get back at Wook for something he may or may not have had control over and I used Henry to do so. I made Wook think I took Henry from him after I, as Wook claims, stole Sungmin from him."
"Things are just a bit messed up right now. They'll get better," Eunhyuk said, patting Kyuhyun's back.
"Even if Sungmin comes back, or I find him, I'm going to break up wit him."
"What? Why?"
Kyuhyun smiled, although it didn't reach his eyes. "It was back before we started dating, back when Heechul hyung hyung and I were friends, it was back then that I realized that things were perfect. Without Sungmin knowing how much I like him and without Lixu trying to kill everyone."
"You can't turn back the clock, Kyu."
"No, but I can at least repair the damage that I've done. Breaking up with Sungmin means Wook gets his best friend back and things go back to normal."
"Why can't you date Min and him still be friends with Wook?"
"Because it was us dating that broke their friendship and made Wook confess to Min due to him thinking Min was leaving him. Wook wanted him to stay more than anything and he left just because he and I liked each other."
"So, you're going to willingly break up with Min to make Ryeowook happy?" Henry asked, trying to make sense of what was going on in Kyuhyun's mind. When the elder nodded, Henry frowned. "How does any of that make sense at all?! You breaking up with Sungmin will only cause him and yourself to be upset. Ryeowook has me now so keep dating Sungmin."
Henry looked at Kyuhyun flatly before smacking him, hard, drawing a lot of attention. "Yah! Cho Kyuhyun. I did not put up with all this SHIT just to have it all fall apart. Yesung's home now. Jungsu and Youngwoon are settling down! I can take care of Wookie and EunHae are fucking married! You're the only one left out because you won't get off your ass and go after him! If you had half a brain you'd figure it out! He called you. You have the number. Track. Him. Down." Henry growled, holding Kyuhyun by his collar as teachers tried to split them up. Henry spit in Kyuhyun's face as he was drug away. "You're only proving Ryeowook right......" He added as he turned to start leaving willingly.
Once outside of school, Kyuhyun headed to the library and straight to the computers. He searched the number and his eyes widened. "He's in America?!"
After being thrown out for yelling, Kyuhyun fiddled nervously with his phone.
To: Youngwoonie
From: GameKyu
Message: He's in America.... I don't have the money for that... :( I guess I really aren't meant to get him back.
Sungmin stirred in his sleep as he felt cold. He shivered and pulled his covers up more. He blinked tiredly to find Kibum had fallen asleep with his head propped on his arms on the chair. "Bummie... Wake up." He said sleepily. His eyes were still swollen and tired from crying. Kibum blinked and yawned at him. "What is it?" He asked smiling some. Sungmin patted the bed. "Rest with me. I want a Kibummie teddy bear." Sungmin whined cutely, holding out his arms. Kibum slid under the covers and was about to hug Sungmin when the latter's phone rang.
Sighing, Sungmin reached for it.
"Hell--?"
"LEE SUNGMIN WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU DOING IN AMERICA?!?!"
It was Kangin.
At his home, Ryeowook slept soundly as he dreamed of Lixu. He felt so calm and peaceful as if Lixu settled for having Henry. All stress and anxiety were gone as he slept. He smiled in his sleep, dreaming of proposing to his mochi.
Zhoumi sat in a recliner at his home in China, staring at a photo encased in an expensive frame. It was his family and Hankyung's back when they were both just little kids. There was an envelope with every email his parents and Hankyung's had ever sent to each other in it sitting on the table next to him. He had found it and printed it out to show the elder male when he returned from the States, but he wasn't sure he could wait that long. Grabbing the envelope from the table, he snatched his car keys from the hook by the door. He sped toward the airport, knuckles white as he gripped the steering wheel.
"You were meant to be mine, Hangeng. Even our parents had it arranged when we were kids," he whispered, barely glancing over before he pulled into the other lane, molding with the traffic entering the parking lot.
In their hotel room, Hankyung was sitting on the edge of the bed, unscrewing the lid to a bottle of alcohol for him and Heechul to have. Heechul was rolling around in the sheets, trying to make Hankyung hurry by purring. Hankyung laughed, setting the bottle down and pouncing on the other.
"Calm down, Chul. We have all the time in the world to be together," he murmured before giving the other a kiss.
Kyuhyun raced up the stairs, throwing open the front door, startling Leeteuk. "Where's hyung?" he demanded, getting his answer a moment later when he heard glass shattering in the kitchen. He hurried into the room, Leeteuk on his heels.
"Kangin, call down," Leeteuk suggested, reaching out and placing a hand on the other's shoulder.
"How the hell am I supposed to calm down?! What the hell is that asshole doing in America?" Kangin roared, swinging his arm again, his fist connecting with the window pane. The glass shattered, sprinkling down in glittering shards. "Kyuhyun, I give you full permission to go after him."
"Hyung, I can't afford it."
Kangin left the room, coming back a few minutes later with a wallet. "I kept this for emergencies. Take it. There should be about ten thousand dollars here."
Leeteuk smacked him, causing him to glare. "If you had this then why the hell are you in debt?"
"Because I do enough for me to get by, Teuk!" Kangin turned to Kyuhyun. "Take it before I kick your ass to America instead."
Kyuhyun took the wallet, withdrawing all the money and pocketing the cash. "Thanks, hyung." He hugged Kangin tightly before rushing out of the house. He felt slightly sad at leaving. He wasn't going to come back without Sungmin and if the other wasn't returning to Korea, then he'd stay in America with him. A car screeched to a halt in front of him, making him jump.
"Need a lift?" Yesung asked from the passenger seat of Siwon's car, grinning like a fool.
"Take me to the airport." Kyuhyun climbed in and dialed a number. "Sungmin, you'd better tell me what your damn address is before I have to spend the rest of my life looking for you. If that happens, I'll haunt your ass forever."
Kibum watched Sungmin carefully as he held him. "They found out...... I'm going to kill Heechul Hyung if he told." He mumbled, sounding like he wanted to cry. Sungmin's dad poked his head in the door and smiled slightly. "Kibum, I called your mom to tell her I'd send you to school tomorrow. I told her you were caring for Sungmin." He said. Kibum nodded and Sungmin's father left.
"It's alright Sungmin... They know what country you're in, not where you are. America is large." He spoke. Sungmin buried his face into Kibum's shoulder. "I hope so.
Kangin winced as Eeteuk tied bandages around Kangin's hand. "Mianhae Jungsu. I don't have large debts really. As soon as I pay off my apartment's last month of rent I'll be debt free... Plus, Kyu needs it more than me." He said. Eeteuk's mouth twitched as if he wanted to smile. "Youngwoon.... I quit my job today."
Heechul giggled as Hankyung and he linked arms to drink their drink. Hankyung smiled at him lovingly, threading his fingers through Heechul's hair as they released their arms. "So in a nutshell we ate, had hanchul tiemz, and now are drinking. I like honeymoons." He said smiling. Hankyung laughed. Heechul reached over, laying across Hankyung's lap, and put his cup down and getting the Chinaman's phone.
"Mimi hasn't called? That's unusual. He's usually a mother hen." He said rolling to look at Hankyung with a >:3 look. "What's that look for?" Hankyung asked warily before Heechul pounced. "Time for round two." He said grinning.
Kyuhyun thanked Siwon and Yesung before he got out of the car and headed inside to the airport. He got his ticket and paid for a copy of his passport which he'd left home, and got ready to board the plane.
Kyuhyun boarded the plane, taking his seat next to a foreigner. He didn't pay the other much attention as he waited for the plane to take off, but once he looked over to take a peek out the window, he did a double take. "You're Henry's friend, right?" he asked the other.
Zhoumi looked over at him, seeing that the younger was talking to him "Yes, I am. I'm also Hangeng's and Heechul's friend. I was the best man at their wedding," he replied, turning back to the papers he held in his hand.
"You don't suppose I could stick with you in America until I find Sungmin, do you?"
"I don't mind, but I'm not sure where he could be. I'm going because I need to talk with Hankyung and it isn't something that can be discussed over a phone. Please leave me be so I can read over these emails before I bombard him with them."
Ryeowook awoke to someone tapping him, opening his eyes to see Henry sitting beside him on his bed. Henry smiled at him before he placed a kiss against the elder's temple. "How are you feeling?" he asked, brushing the hair out of Ryeowook's eyes.
"I'm doing better," Ryeowook answered, sitting up and pulling Henry in for a tight hug. "I have something to ask you and I'm not letting you go until I get the right answer."
"Then tell me all the wrong answers to say. That way, you'll never let me go."
"Will you marry me?" Ryeowook closed his eyes, awaiting an answer.
"Nope."
Ryeowook pouted, his arms loosening around the younger as he pouted. "Why not?"
Henry smiled, wrapping his arms tightly around the elder. "You said you'd keep hugging me until I gave you the right answer. So until I say yes, keep your arms around me."
Ryeowook released Henry who pouted. "What? I didn't say it yet!" Henry squeaked in protest. "Yes you did. You said until I say yes. That counts. You're officially engaged and off limits Henry Lau." Ryeowook said sternly before eeping, having to get up and run, still sick from that morning.
Henry lauched, going to help his sick fiance.
Kyuhyun listened to the sound of ruffling papers for HOURS. He pulled his pillow over his face and groaned. He still heard it. He took the pillow off and glared at Zhou Mi. "Do you MIND? I'm trying to not beat the shit out of you and open a window to suck all those papers out. At least take a thirty minute break so I can go to SLEEP." He snapped, glowering at him.
Zhoumi glared back at him. "We'll be landing soon so don't bother sleeping." He stacked his papers neatly, smirking when he noticed Kyuhyun's eyebrow twitch. "Cool down, Kyuhyun. When we get there, I'm sure you'll find your lost bunny."
"He isn't lost," Kyuhyun replied, crossing his arms as he pouted. "He ran away. And as a good owner, I'm doing whatever I can to find him. If he won't return to Korea, then I'll stay here with him."
Zhoumi gave him an odd look. "You're willing to give up your life in Korea for him?"
"I'm willing to do anything for him. I'm in love with Sungmin and I won't stop until I fond him."
Sungmin curled up against Kibum in his sleep. The younger lay awake watching the ceiling. He couldn't shake the feeling of Kyuhyun finding them. He knew the odds were slim but he had a feeling. He wondered if he should call Sungmin's hyung. He sighed, deciding against it, and rolled over, pulling Sungmin close and eventually falling asleep.
