Chapter Twelve:
Heechul stared up through his tears at Hankyung, not able to say anything to him. After what seemed like forever, Hankyung sighed as he stepped into the booth, closing the door behind himself. “What are you doing here?” he asked, his voice tinged with anger and sorrow. Try as he might, he could never fully mask his feelings from Heechul.
“Hannie…” Heechul shook his head. “I can’t call you that anymore…you aren’t mine anymore…” Saying it aloud, Heechul was hit with the realization again that he and the other weren’t together. More tears fell as he tried to keep himself from sobbing. “I-I’m sorry, Hangeng. I’ll leave.” He smiled weakly as he tried to stand, failing to keep himself on his feet. “It seems that my legs even gave up on me.”
Hankyung knelt, pulling Heechul into his arms and hugging him tightly. “Heechul, I’m sorry, but we just can’t be together right now. I’ll have Zhoumi take you back to Korea so that you don’t get lost on your way to the airport.”
Hankyung pulled back, placing a light kiss on Heechul’s forehead. He stood and exited the phone booth, Zhoumi standing a few feet away. Walking up to the younger, he frowned at him.
“Heechul isn’t going to stop crying anytime soon. I don’t know the full details of it all, but he is in love with you,” Zhoumi stated. He shrugged out of his jacket and headed for the phone booth, leaving Hankyung standing there. Kneeling beside Heechul, Zhoumi draped his jacket over his shoulders. “Let’s go, Heechul.” He helped the other stand and hailed a taxi to take them to the airport. The entire way there, Heechul sobbed into Zhoumi’s shoulder, occasionally mumbling Hankyung’s name.

Lixu sat atop Henry, a devilish smirk gracing his face. Henry was looking up at him, fear written clearly on his face. “What’s the matter, little mouse? Are you scared of me?” he asked, bringing his face only inches away from the other’s.
“Ryeowook, I know you’re in there somewhere. Please, hyung, I’m begging you, please don’t let this monster control you,” Henry pleaded.
Lixu chuckled. “You think he can hear you? He doesn’t want to hear your voice, he doesn’t want to see your face, and he definitely doesn’t want to feel your touch. Give up, mousey. The hyung you claimed to love so much is gone.”
Henry shook his head. “No, I don’t believe you. Ryeowook hyung isn’t gone. H-he can’t be gone. And I do love him.”
“If you loved him, why did you hurt him so much? Do you want to feel the pain that he felt?” He took his nails and scraped them across Henry’s cheek and down his neck. The angry red marks burned slightly as Lixu grabbed a fistful of his hair. “I’m going to be here for a very long time, Henry Lau, and there’s nothing you or anyone else can do about it.”
As if on cue, Kangin burst open the door with angry hotel staff hollering about a stolen key. He threw the key to them and shut the door. Lixu was about to give some remark but Kangin punched him. "I dont care if you have Ryeowookie's body or not, I promised to not let Henry get hurt anymore by anyone." He growled, helping the youngest to his feet. Henry's hand was on his face, the other one in a fist. "Junsu wanted me Ryeowook. He wanted me but I never gave myself up to him. I told him I'd never sleep with him. I'm glad hyung caught us so I could keep that promise. I wanted to visit you I really did. In fact, he's the only reason I didn't. I had these thoughts that you'd turn me away." Henry spoke softly. Lixu literally growled and threw himself at Kangin and Henry. "I'm not Ryeowook damn it! When will you get it right?! I don't love you anymore!" He screeched, screaming as he was pulled off of Henry by Eeteuk who had shown up unannounced. A stern glare to Kangin and the raccoon was taking Henry from the room.
Eeteuk looked at Lixu once he stopped screaming and let him go. A harsh slap was what he got in return. "Are you done, Ryeowook?" Eeteuk asked calmly. Lixu's harsh breathing slowed slightly but he still glared at him. Eeteuk left and went into the bathroom, coming back with a cup of water.
He sat on the bed and patted his lap. "Lay here." He said calmly. Lixu cocked his head, wondering why Eeteuk was so calm. He did as asked, looking up at Eeteuk once his head was in his lap. "You know that you need Ryeowook. What happens if your control slips and he commits suicide because you've gone too far. You claim to not like Ryeowook and Henry.... but get to know them and see." Eeteuk murmured. He figured anger wasn't the way to handle this being. He placed the pill to Lixu's lips and felt the other kiss his fingertip. "You're just a being who craves for everything at once." He said bringing the water to Lixu's lips and watching as he drank it.
He could hear Henry and Kangin's worried talking outside and smiled as Ryeowook seemed to faint. "Welcome back, Ryeowook." He said softly.

Heechul stood at the airport, staring at the ticket in his hand and at the departures. He watched Zhou Mi move up in line a bit, squeezing his hand. Tears began to come to his eyes again before he bolted. "Xi Che!" Zhou Mi shouted, drawing stares. "I CAN'T LEAVE. I LEFT HIM ONCE. I'M NOT STUPID ENOUGH TO DO IT AGAIN!!!" Heechul shouted back, running out of the airport and looking for the nearest taxi. He looked out the back window as they drove off, watching as Zhou Mi ran out of the confused crowd.
Heechul panted as he ran up to Hankyung’s front door. He tried the knob, glad when it turned and the door opened. He went into the living room, seeing a confused Changmin laying on the couch. He turned and watched as Hankyung walked out from the kitchen, the glass of water in his hand slipping and shattering on the floor. The sound caused Changmin to sit up, but he was too intimidated by the way he saw Heechul and Hankyung looking at each other.
“I thought I told Zhoumi to take you home,” Hankyung said, completely startled that Heechul was standing in front of him.
Heechul shook his head. “You did, but I can’t leave. It doesn’t matter which of us turns around and leaves the other, I still feel like it’ll kill me if I’m not near you. I couldn’t walk away, Hannie, not from you. That’s the one thing that’s different in my love for you and the love I have for Ryeowook. I’m able to walk away from him without it hurting like my heart has been ripped out. I can’t walk away from you and you can’t walk away from me without that feeling overwhelming me.”
Changmin looked at Hankyung, confused at what was happening. “Han, what’s this person saying? Do you…do you love him?”
Hankyung stared at Heechul Changmin’s words registering in his mind. He nodded sharply. “I do love Heechul. He’s the only man I’ve ever loved and the only one I plan to love for as long as I live.” He turned and smiled apologetically at Changmin. “I’m sorry, but I think it’s time you went home, Changmin. I have to discuss a lot with Heechul.”
Nodding, Changmin stood and went to the front door. He walked out and closed it behind him, sighing as he did. He knew Hankyung didn’t love him, but to see the way he looked at Heechul made him a little jealous. He secretly wished that the Hankyung would look at him just once, but he knew that was impossible. He wasn’t the man who Hankyung’s heart belonged to.

Kangin walked with Henry as Leeteuk carried Ryeowook on his back a few paces behind them. He offered to carry Ryeowook, but Leeteuk insisted that he could manage. After walking a few blocks, they reached Leeteuk’s home. They went inside and Leeteuk took Ryeowook upstairs as Kangin ordered Henry to sit on the couch as he fetched him something to drink. Henry looked around, a small smile on his face as Leeteuk walked back downstairs.
“That boy is heavy,” Leeteuk groaned, massaging his shoulder. He sat down on the opposite side of the couch, leaning his head back and closing his eyes. “How are those scratches, Henry?”
“They don’t hurt,” Henry replied. He looked down. “I’m lucky that you and Kangin hyung showed up when you did. I’m not sure what would’ve happened if you hadn’t.”
Kangin reentered the room, glass of water in his hand. “Yah, didn’t I say that I wouldn’t let anything hurt you? I’m more pissed that I arrived later than planned. If that damned hotel staff hadn’t crossed me, I’d have been there before Lixu scratched you,” Kangin said. He handed Henry the glass before sitting in between him and Leeteuk. “Yah, Teuk, does your shoulder hurt?”
“It’s fine. Just a little stiff from carrying Ryeowook.” Leeteuk offered him a smile.
“Sit in front of me so I can massage it for you.” Leeteuk nodded as he got off of the couch and sat in front of Kangin. He felt Kangin hesitantly place his hands on his shoulders and he stifled a laugh. He didn’t know anyone more awkward than him.
“Henry, why don’t you go upstairs and wait for Ryeowook to wake up?” Leeteuk’s random suggestion didn’t make sense to him, but Henry nodded and went upstairs anyway. Leeteuk turned to face Kangin, still kneeling before him. He pressed his lips to Kangin’s, causing Kangin’s eyes to widen in slight shock. “Youngwoon, I have a request.”
“What is it?”
Leeteuk stood, pushing Kangin to lay flat on the couch and climbing on top of him. He pressed kisses all over the younger’s face before capturing his lips. Breaking the kiss, Leeteuk looked at Kangin seriously. “Have sex with me.”
Kangin’s eyes widened in shock. “W-what?”

Kyuhyun and Sungmin sat outside as other students filed passed them on their way to various locations to have lunch. They were waiting on Donghae and Eunhyuk to arrive so they could all go together to get something. He sighed as it took another ten minutes before the couple appeared and walked down the stairs to meet them.
“Sorry for keeping you waiting, but we needed to use the bathroom,” Donghae said, winking at Kyuhyun.
Sungmin frowned. “Please tell me you didn’t use the school restroom to have sex,” he replied before Kyuhyun could. When Donghae and Eunhyuk gave him matching grins, he scrunched up his face. “You’re lucky that I’m not one to rat out my friends or you’d be in big trouble.”
Kyuhyun rolled his eyes. “Come on before we run out of time to get something to eat.”

Heechul stood in Hankyung's living room dreading what was going to be said. "Sit down." Hankyung's velvet voice drifted to him. Heechul sat, watching as he walked around to sit with him. "Heechul... let me talk, don't interrupt. I had honestly given up on you coming after me. I love you... but I can't go back." Hankyung jumped at the violent reaction he received. "What?! Why not?!" Heechul shouted. He was on his feet in an instant. "I work here Heechul. I can't just up and say 'I'm going back to Korea.'" He said. Heechul grabbed Hankyung's shirt, pleading. "Then let me stay. Tell them. I refuse to hide my relationship. I didn't in Seoul and I won't here." He said sternly. Hankyung took Heechul's hand in his and caressed his fingers. "Where's our rings?" He murmured. "Home. Geng your company will allow you to model in Korea. I KNOW it." Heechul blushed. "I've sorta stalked your company and you." He said very quietly. Hankyung burst out laughing. "Really? That bad?!" Heechul nodded, face flushed. Hankyung calmed down and rubbed Heechul's arms. "I'll SEE. If they boot me out so be it." Hankyung said. Heechul hugged him. "I don't like all those fans eyeballing you."
~~~~~~~~LATER~~~~~~~~~~
Hankyung came home that night and had a shocked expression. "Chul. I told them I was gay, they asked for your picture, and then signed you up for a couple contract with me." He said with a O.O look.
Sungmin and Kyuhyun spoke quietly at the lunch table and Donghae finally got curious. "What are you whispering about?" He asked. "You! How can you really have sex in a public bathroom. Do you KNOW how many germs are in there?! Not to mention STDs and shit from the toilets if you touch them. What the hell were you thinking?! And don't tell me you did it standing up. I know Eunhyuk's flexible but not that damn flexible!" Sungmin ranted, voice getting louder as he did so. Kyuhyun tugged his shirt, pointing to the principal. "Oops." Sungmin mumbled as he approached and EunHae glared.
Upstairs at Eeteuk's, Henry frantically poked Ryeowook. "Wook wake up!" He hissed, locking the door. "Wook!" Ryeowook groaned, head throbbing. "What? HENRY!" He shouted, realizing who it was and hugging him tight. He noticed Henry's tenseness and frowned. "Hyung.... Teuk told me to come up here right, then they started making noises and I'm not stupid. We're stuck up here until they get done with sex. And no radio to drown it out!" He whined, burying his head between Ryeowook's arm and side.
Ryeowook’s eyes widened as the words registered in his mind. “The hyungs are…having sex and…” He stopped, looking at the door then back at Henry. “They’re having sex with us just upstairs?! Why couldn’t they wait until we weren’t here?! As if either of us want to hear them having sex!”
“Ryeowook, calm down or they’ll hear you.”
“Neither of them can hear me over the noise they’re making!” Ryeowook shuddered. “I’m going to have to do something to occupy my mind to block that racket out…”
Henry sighed as he snuggled deeper into Ryeowook’s side. “We could take a nap. I’m tired.”
Looking down at the younger, Ryeowook frowned before cupping his face and making him sit up. He brushed his thumb over the scratches on his cheek. “I’m sorry about scratching you.” He pressed a kiss to the scratches, tears slowly forming in his eyes.
Henry hugged him. “It’s okay, Wook. They don’t hurt and technically it wasn’t you who did it. It was Lixu.”
Ryeowook's tears still fell. He couldn't help it. Kangin and Eeteuk were the last thing on his mind now. "I wanted to take care of you like you did me while I was sick. I waited for you but when I got out you never came. I asked Kangin hyung about you but he'd never tell me much. But then to see you with him when I came back to school.... it hurt. I won't deny it. But what revived Lixu in me was....... you said let me explain. Henry please tell me you didn't have sex with him." He pleaded, looking at the maknae. Henry felt terrible seeing Ryeowook cry. "I almost did. I won't lie...... But hyung I love you. He's just a friend. I promise I didn't do anything with him." He said trying to calm down the shaking Ryeowook. "I loved my friend once.... and he tore my heart out. He still thinks he's my best friend. I just want to go home. Umma will be worried. I need to be alone, no Heechul, no Sungmin, no you. I just want to be left alone!" He shouted, backing away from Henry, clutching at his hair and pulling as if tearing it out would make the now actively talking Lixu shut up. "He wants me to kill Sungmin. He wants me to kill you. Just go away." He begged, blood smearing against the wall as Ryeowook slammed himself back against it. "Go away!" He screamed. Footsteps were heard as a half dressed KangTeuk headed upstairs, hearing Ryeowook over themselves.
“What is going on up here?” Leeteuk asked. One look at the now terrified Henry and Leeteuk turned to face Ryeowook. “Ryeowook, you need to calm down.”
Ryeowook’s back slammed into the wall as he tried to rid himself of Lixu’s voice. It echoed through his head, telling him to do away with Henry. He tried to ignore Lixu telling him that it would be easy to get rid of the younger. He shook his head, trying to get Lixu to shut up. “L-leave me alone, Lixu. Go away!” When Leeteuk moved to reach out to him, Ryeowook glared, but it was Lixu’s voice that spoke.
“Don’t touch me,” Lixu spat, Leeteuk stopping immediately.
“Lixu, why don’t you leave Ryeowook alone now? Haven’t you caused him enough pain?” Leeteuk knew that reasoning with Lixu would have very little chances of working, but he attempted it anyway. “Just leave him be, Lixu. He still needs to heal from the last encounter he had with you.”
The smile that spread across Ryeowook’s face was sinister. It made Leeteuk’s stomach churn. “This little mouse knows nothing of pain. But he will soon know what true pain feels like.”
“What do you mean?” Kangin asked, crossing his arms.
Lixu laughed, dropping his hands at his sides as he backed toward the window. “This little mouse is going to take away the thing that hurt him the most.” Lixu opened the window, turning and disappearing out of it in the blink of an eye.
Leeteuk sat down on the bed, closing his eyes and sighing. “I have no clue what Lixu is after. I’m completely baffled as to how he still has so much control over Ryeowook.”
“Maybe he isn’t after something so much as someone,” Henry offered. He looked at Leeteuk. “He said he was going after the one who hurt Wook the most. Who was it?”
“Heechul?” Kangin questioned.
Leeteuk shook his head. “Perhaps, Kyuhyun for jumping him?”
Henry thought for a moment, trying to figure out if he had been given any clues. He gasped, his head snapping toward the window. “Sungmin. Wook said that Sungmin broke his heart. That’s who he’s going after!”
In China, Hankyung and Heechul had fallen asleep on the couch. Heechul was pushed into the cushions with Hankyung laying on top of him, the Chinaman’s lips parted slightly as he slept. Heechul had wrapped his arms around him, his fingers tangled into Hankyung’s hair. A few moments later, Hankyung stirred from sleep, trying to lift his head off of Heechul’s chest.
“Yah, Chul, let me up,” Hankyung said, still unable to pry himself loose.
“Five more minutes,” Heechul mumbled in reply, throwing his leg over Hankyung’s waist, trapping him even more.
Groaning, Hankyung tried to move again, only succeeding in having Heechul’s limbs wrap around him and keep him still. “Chul, I need to get up. I need to go shower.”
Heechul let the words sink in before he reluctantly unwound himself from Hankyung's body. "Go shower.... by the way when do I start to work with you? I can't even speak Chinese all the way." He said sleepily, sitting up as Hankyung kissed him good morning. "Today now get up sleepyhead and come shower with me." Hankyung said. Heechul looked up about to smart mouth him about being perverted but saw only love in Hankyung's eyes. "Sure." He said getting up to go with him. He looked forward to being able to be public with Hankyung here. He wondered how his fans would take it.
Hankyung's arms never left him as they bathed, eventually settling into an embrace, letting the water wash over them. "Hannie. I'll have to send Mimi to put the house for sale or rent and get our rings." He said but it came out as a pout, his cheek pressed against Hankyung's shoulder. He felt the other laugh. "He's not a carrier pigeon but I'm sure he won't mind." He said fondly, reaching to cut the water off as it began to get cold.
Donghae and Eunhyuk now sat in the principal's office for a) bathroom sex and b) nearly choking Kyuhyun. School was being let out but they sat still in the office. "You two know that above all, violence and sexual acts are the most important rules here. You've broken them both. You're suspended for a month, both of you. Your schedules will be altered to separate you two and ISS for three weeks when you return." The old man said. Donghae and Eunhyuk reluctantly nodded. "And a phone call to your parents." He added. Donghae and Eunhyuk both screamed NO, in panic.
Eeteuk and the others rode in the car, trying to find Lixu before he could get to Sungmin. They were shocked at how fast he was. They stopped along with a few others as they saw Lixu, gun pointed at Kyuhyun to keep him in place as he kissed along Sungmin's neck. Kyuhyun took a step towards him and Lixu brought the gun to Sungmin's temple, making him freeze. "I'll take this somewhere else. It's too crowded." he said pointing the gun at Sungmin's back as he turned him. "If you follow me he'll lose more than his virginity." He said with a grin.
“Lixu, let him go. Why are you doing this?” Kyuhyun asked, trying to find a way to inch forward without being too obvious with his actions.
Lixu smirked, shoving the barrel of the gun roughly into Sungmin’s back, causing him to yelp. “I’m doing this to get back at you. Although I despise that spineless mouse, I hate not getting even with people. So, I’ll be taking your bunny as my toy for now.”
Lixu turned, shoving Sungmin forward and following him, the gun still against his back. After they disappeared around the corner, Kyuhyun dropped to his knees. “I can’t do anything to help him…Lixu just came and took Sungmin from me and I couldn’t do a thing to stop him.”
“It’s fine. He won’t be able to harm Sungmin too much,” Leeteuk reassured Kyuhyun, kneeling beside him. “Although Lixu hates Sungmin, and Ryeowook claims to do so, they won’t kill him. Sungmin has been Ryeowook’s friend for years. It won’t be easy for Lixu to do anything to Sungmin with that knowledge lodged deep within his heart.”
Already blocks away, Lixu grabbed Sungmin by the hair and dragged him into a hotel. He went straight to a room and went inside, throwing Sungmin to the floor. He slammed the door, locking it and turning to face the startled bunny. “You know Ryeowook loved you yet you still rejected him. I had every intention to shoot you, but I thought this would be a more fitting end for you,” Lixu said, pulling a pair of handcuffs from his pocket.
“Lixu, stop this. Ryeowook will never forgive you for hurting his best friend,” Sungmin replied, trying to reason with him.
Lixu laughed, grabbing Sungmin’s arm and pulling him to the bed. He wrapped the handcuffs around the iron headboard, securing Sungmin’s hands into them. “You still claim you’re his best friend? He told Henry that you aren’t his best friend, that he wanted to be all alone.”
Sungmin shook his head, pulling on the handcuffs to see if they would really hold him if he tried to get away. He frowned up at them, concluding that he wouldn’t be able to break them or the iron frame. He was trapped. “Ryeowook doesn’t like being by himself. He was always afraid of being alone because he didn’t want to be with you.”
“Then why is he not even struggling to regain control of his body? Why does he refuse to fight back now?”
Sungmin frowned, turning his head away. He didn’t have an answer to that question. “I’m sorry, Ryeowook,” he whispered. He looked at Lixu, tears slowly starting to trail down his cheeks. “I know you can hear me, Ryeowook. I’m sorry, okay? I should have been nicer to you. I shouldn’t have rejected you like that. I’m sorry, so don’t let Lixu win anymore!”
Sungmin could see Lixu's eyes change. "It's too late for sorry, Sungmin. You didn't even really reject me, you trashed my heart. You told me I never had a chance to begin with. You left the hospital and not once did you come back. Three weeks that Henry was there and you weren't. Even Heechul Hyung is a better friend than you and he's the most whorish person I know." He said. It was clearly Ryeowook speaking the words. He shivered, blinking and once more Lixu had control. "See? He willingly hands you over to me." He breathed, pulling Sungmin's shirt behind his head since it can't come all the way off. Sungmin's eyes widened as the reality of the situation sunk in. He started to scream but the gun was put in his mouth and he choked on the words. "It only takes one finger." Lixu warned and Sungmin nodded, intending to be silent. The gun was removed but still aimed as his pants were taken next. He continued to cry as he saw Ryeowook's body revealed to him for the first time. He would never want it to be like this.
The burn he felt when Lixu slid into him was maddening. He wanted to scream but couldn't for fear of dieing. He felt something hot and wet and knew he bled. He tried to drown out the moans he heard as he was fondled. Right before it was over, he saw Lixu change again. It didn't stop. He felt betrayed and disgusting as it was over. Ryeowook was passed out on the bed beside him, gun teetering on the edge of the bed.
Heechul stared as he and Hankyung were ushered to the shooting site. There were people. Lots of them. "You did NOT tell me you were announcing me today." He growled, trying to get his hand free from Hankyung's.
Hankyung kept the smile on his face as the cameras continued to flash. “Chul, if it wasn’t today, it would have taken up to a month for me to introduce you as my fiancé. It’s hard to get everyone together like this for something so big. Besides, I thought you’d want to do this sooner as opposed to later.”
Heechul froze at Hankyung’s words. Well, one word in particular. “Han, does this mean that you officially take me back and you still want to marry me?”
Hankyung smiled at him as he nodded. “I love you, Heechul, and I already told you that you’re the only man I’ll ever love.”
Ignoring the cameras, Heechul grabbed Hankyung’s face and kissed him, causing the photographers to gasp. Heechul pulled away a few moments later, smiling at Hankyung’s shocked expression. “I love you, too, Hankyung. I love you a lot.”
When the meeting finally started, fans, paparazzi, and all, Hankyung and Heechul were all smiles and their hands were intertwined. "As I'm sure most of you saw moments ago, you might know what I'm about to announce. I am gay. I have been since I was young, when I met this man that stands by me now. This is Kim Heechul, Xi Che. I love him and I am going to marry him. To my fans, I hope none of you are heart broken. I'm still the same man." He turned to Heechul smiling. "We will begin to work together as of today. We hope you'll support us." He said placing a kiss on Heechul's lips. The fans went nuts. Heechul smiled and looked at Hankyung. "I only understood half what you said." He murmured, looking at the sea of people.
Sungmin was the first to wake of the two in the motel room and he sat up, scooting away from Ryeowook. "I guess I deserved that one, huh? You always believed in fairness. I know that somewhere in there you had reasons. I know you still care... That's why it hurts so bad...... I just have to put on a smile and pretend it didn't happen, for both our sakes." He said quietly, texting Kyuhyun where he was at. He put the phone down and hugged Ryeowook, tears coming to his eyes. "I know you're still the same sweet boy..... So I can never tell." He sobbed as Ryeowook stirred.
"Min?" Ryeowook gasped. "Oh God Sungmin!" He shouted, sitting up and looking at the crying boy. He immediately began to cry as well. "I'm so sorry Sungmin. I didn't mean it. I don't know... I mean..." Ryeowook was so distraught he didn't know what to say. He knew Lixu had given up, knew he still finished the job. "I'm so sorry."
“It’s fine, Ryeowook. Kyuhyun is on his way to get me so I need to get dressed and go wait for him,” Sungmin said, getting off of the bed and heading for the bathroom. Once inside, he locked the door behind himself and made the water as hot as he could stand it. Stepping beneath the water, he let it run over him. He pressed his forehead against the shower wall, tears spilling over again at the thoughts of last night and having to hide this from everyone.
It was only when he heard someone shouting out in the hotel room that he turned the water off and climbed out. He barely dried himself off as he quickly dressed. Unlocking the door, he opened it only to be faced with a very angry Kyuhyun. He was beyond pissed, that was certain.
“Let’s go, Min,” Kyuhyun said, his voice monotonous as he controlled his anger. He grabbed the elder’s wrist and pulled him to the door. He sent a glare back in Ryeowook’s direction. “I don’t care if it’s Lixu or you…if either of you come within ten feet of Sungmin, I’ll kill you.” Turning, he dragged Sungmin away with him. They got in the car, Kyuhyun pulling out of the parking lot at such a quick speed that Sungmin clutched the dashboard.
“Where did you get this car?” Sungmin asked him, looking around at the interior.
“My parents gave it to me as a present one year, but I’ve never driven it until today. Listen to me, Min, and listen carefully. I don’t want either of them near you. Got it? If I had my way, you’d be kept in a room at my house until I graduate and then we’d leave the country, but that’s not going to happen, unfortunately.”
Sungmin blinked at him. "Kyu..." He swallowed a lump in his throat. "Kyu nothing happened. I mean, yeah he kissed me and felt me up but Ryeowook stopped him before it happened." He lied. "It scared me... but I think it scared Ryeowook more." He added. Kyuhyun glared at him sideways, screeching to a halt at his house. "I don't want to talk about it right now. I'd just go off on you." He said getting out of the car. Sungmin stayed there for a moment before reaching over and locking the doors, curling up in the floor and crying. Kyuhyun turned back but he'd left the keys in the ignition.
Ryeowook didn't look up when he heard the door open again until a weight added to the bed. He felt a hand on his back and looked up. "Henry.... Teukie. Kangin-hyung." He whimpered. Kangin looked angrily but Eeteuk and Henry seemed understanding. "I don't remember much.... Sungmin Hyung said I stopped." Ryeowook murmured, making himself believe the lie. "He said I didn't let him hurt him. I want to go home. I want things back the way they were. Just me and Min. Before Chul loved me, before Kyu beat me, before all of it. I want to go back. I hate it all. I hate all of you. You don't belong here... Especially not YOU!" He shouted jerking away as Henry placed a comforting hand on his shoulders which shook with sobs. "I want to go back before Lixu." He whispered. Henry took his hand back, looking at his lap. "Kangin get Henry and take him home. I'm taking Ryeowook to the doctor." Eeteuk said.
Kangin nodded. “I think it’s a good idea that they aren’t near each other for a few days. It’ll give everyone time to cool down. I’ll call Kyuhyun later to see how Sungmin is,” Kangin agreed. He pecked Leeteuk on the cheek before turning and walking with Henry from the room.
Leeteuk turned back to Ryeowook, smiling sadly at him. “Ryeowook, you need to get up so we can leave. I’ll wait for you outside the room.”
After Leeteuk left him alone, Ryeowook pushed himself up, looking around the empty room. He slowly dressed himself, trying to keep himself from remembering anything from the previous night. It was only when he let his eyes drop to the bed that his vision blurred a little. His eyes widened when he noticed splotches of dark red smeared across the sheets. “He lied to me…”
Leeteuk opened the door, smiling when he saw that Ryeowook was ready. “Let’s go, Ryeowookie.” He entered the room and grasped the younger’s hand, guiding him away from the room. He wasn’t paying too much attention to the younger as they climbed into his car and he drove to the hospital. Going inside, Leeteuk lead Ryeowook to an examining room and said that he was leaving to get a friend of his since he was off duty. He returned with Choi Siwon, both of them frowning at noticing that Ryeowook was pale and getting paler by the minute.
“I thought you said this was going to be simple,” Siwon said, looking at Leeteuk. He sighed and shook his head, turning to smile at Ryeowook. “That doesn’t matter. A friend of my colleague is a friend of mine.” Siwon paused for a moment before turning toward Leeteuk. “Oh, will you go get me his file? I left it on-” A thud cut him off, both doctors turning to find that Ryeowook had fallen from the examining table.
“Ryeowook!” Leeteuk darted into the room, carefully rolling the younger onto his side. Blood trickled from where he hit his head on the floor. “Ryeowook, wake up.” He looked over his shoulder, his voice calm despite his mind screaming in panic. “Go get a gurney. We’ll admit him and monitor him for the night. Hopefully he regains consciousness soon and we can get to the bottom of why he suddenly fainted.”
After the shoot, Hankyung took Heechul to a restaurant, ordering their food. Heechul squirmed in the seat across from him, completely uncomfortable with being in a foreign restaurant. It was way out of his element since he didn’t know half of what everyone was saying.
“Sit still, Chul,” Hankyung murmured, turning and smiling at the waiter. “We’ll have some of your finest wine, please, and two orders of your special for today.” After handing the waiter the menus back, he turned and smiled lovingly at Heechul. “I sent Zhoumi out earlier to fetch our rings.”
Heechul laughed. “You say that like he’s a dog.” Heechul smiled as a thought occurred to him. He pulled out his cell phone and typed a quick message to a friend of his back in South Korea. He shut his phone and looked up to see Hankyung giving him a questioning look.
“What did you just do?”
“Hm? I didn’t do anything, dear.” Heechul gave Hankyung one of his most devilish smirks. “Not yet at least.”
Hankyung rolled his eyes as the waiter reappeared with two glasses and a bottle of wine. He set them down on the table, excusing himself shortly after. Hankyung poured the wine into the glasses, setting the bottle down and handing one glass to Heechul. “To us, our present, and our future that we’ll spend together.”
Clinking their glasses together, they interlocked their arms and both downed every last drop from their glasses. Setting his down, Heechul leaned across the table, capturing Hankyung’s lips in a kiss. “I love you, my Hankyung.”
Hankyung smiled and kissed him back. "Finish your meal, we start in an hour."
At that time, Hankyung was wearing leather and plenty of makeup while Heechul wore skinny jeans and an oversized t-shirt. Hankyung's outfit was normal and so he was comfortable. "Just act natural." Hankyung murmured, resting his chin on Heechul's shoulder from behind. Snap, a picture taken. Several shots were made full of innocence and love and labeled for where they went. Hankyung snapped a collar around Heechul's neck and everything changed. "What, you didn't think I only did kid's magazines did you?"
At the hospital, Ryeowook's mother was informed about his condition, as well as Henry though the latter didn't want to come. Eeteuk waited anxiously outside with Ryeowook's mother while Siwon tended to the boy. "Yah! Teuk in here now he's seizing." Siwon's voice shouted. "Stay here." Eeteuk warned, heading in to try and help get Ryeowook tied down and a tongue depressor so Siwon could begin to give the anti-seizure medicine. It took nearly ten minutes to get him to come out of it.
Siwon looked at Eeteuk in shock. "It came out of nowhere. Didn't you say he was fine?" He asked again and at Eeteuk's nod, Siwon frowned. "The body works in strange ways. His mother can come in but honestly... this is pretty serious. I need to run some tests." He breathed. Eeteuk nodded. "Sure."
After a few hours of tests, Siwon sat down at his desk, running his hands through his already messy hair. The day had been a tiresome one and he still had no ideas on what caused Ryeowook to seize. It completely stumped him as a doctor. He sighed, leaning back in his chair and closing his eyes. He heard a knock on his door and groaned, finally telling the person to enter.
“Yah, Siwon, have you arrived at any conclusions?” Leeteuk asked him, sitting down on the corner of his desk.
“No, I haven’t figured it out yet. I’m going to the machine and getting coffee. You want any?” When Leeteuk shook his head, Siwon left his office. He arrived at the machine that dispensed various hot beverages, smiling as he saw Yesung there, glaring from his spot in a wheelchair. “Yesungie, nice to see you out of your room today.”
“The day is over and the stupid machine took my money,” Yesung growled, crossing his arms and glaring more intensely at the machine. “I hate hospitals. When can I go home?”
Siwon sat down in a chair next to the younger. “You’ll be able to leave in another two weeks at the most.”
“That long?”
“You had a major surgery. I’m amazed at how quickly you’re recovering. Most patients take longer to recover from things like this, but you…you certainly are a quick healer.” Siwon stood, going to the machine and inserting money. He ordered tea, whistling to himself as he waited for it to finish. Taking the cup, he went back to Yesung, stopping in front of the younger. “Here, drink this.”
Yesung accepted the drink, watching as Siwon walked away back towards his office. He looked down at the steaming tea, smiling at his reflection in it. “How did he know I wanted tea?”
When Siwon returned to the room without coffee Eeteuk raised an eyebrow. "I spent it to get Yesung-shii tea. It took his money." Siwon explained. "And you didn't have another dollar?" Eeteuk questioned. "I forgot." Siwon admitted. He sat down and sighed. "Was Ryeowook under any stress recently? Like major stress?" He asked. Eeteuk frowned. "Lixu came back. I told you about him. He nearly hurt Henry then Ryeowook freaked out and ran off, nearly raped Sungmin as Lixu and woke up, freaking out again. He's not stable." Eeteuk explained. "He may have went into shock. His body can't handle it." Siwon said frowning. They heard a commotion and looked up as a nurse came in. "He's awake."
Kyuhyun looked up as Sungmin finally came back into the house from locking himself in the car. “Sungmin…” he started.
“Don’t, Kyu. I don’t want to talk. Not to you, not to anyone. I just want some painkillers for my head and to go to sleep,” he said frowning.
Kyuhyun rolled his eyes. “He did rape you. I know he did,” he said glaring. “Or was it that you secretly enjoyed it and that you’re protecting him?” he questioned.
Sungmin looked at him in disbelief. “You think I enjoyed what he did?” He scoffed, his eyes beginning to burn with tears at the younger’s accusation. “Who would ever like being raped, Kyuhyun? I wanted nothing more than to scream for someone, anyone, to come help me, but I was too afraid that he’d actually shoot me that I kept quiet. You can assume whatever the hell you want, but from now on, don’t place me in any of those assumptions. I’m going home. Don’t talk to me anymore.”
Kyuhyun grabbed Sungmin’s wrist as he turned to leave. “Don’t do this, Min. Please.”
Sungmin pulled his arm away from the younger, eyes downcast as he headed toward the door. “Don’t talk to me anymore, Kyuhyun. Ever since I started talking to you, things have gotten really bad. You’re bad luck for me.” Sungmin left Kyuhyun’s home, walking slowly toward his own. Tears slowly trickled down his cheeks with every step he took. He felt as though he were trying to rip one of his limbs off by just walking away from Kyuhyun, but he needed to be alone to think things over, to try to understand why things happened the way they did.
“W-where am I?” Ryeowook asked, looking up at th ceiling. He tried to sit up, frowning when strong hands eased him back down.
“You should keep lying down for the time being,” a familiar voice said. Ryeowook looked over at him, his face seeming familiar, but he couldn’t put a name to the person.
“Where am I? and who are you?”
Leeteuk frowned. “Ryeowook, do you really not remember what happened?” When the younger shook his head, Leeteuk grabbed Siwon’s arm and pulled him from the room. “Amnesia? Whoever said he’d have amnesia? All of this is from shock? Even as a doctor, I can’t accept this.”
“This is why you shouldn’t get attached to your patients, Leeteuk.”
“And you think you’re the exception to that rule? Do you even realize how much of a hypocrite you are just by saying those words?”
Siwon sighed. “He needs to stay here for a few days so I can monitor him. Who knows, his memory might return in those few days?”
“And if it doesn’t?”
“If he doesn’t, it could take up to several years for his memory to return completely. Once he’s released, have his friends and family act as normal as possible around him. Don’t sugar coat anything and make sure he has a stable environment that will help him recover his memory. Surround him with familiar settings, people, music. Eventually, his memory will return.”
Leeteuk nodded. “I’ll go back inside and inform his mother. I hope he at least remembers Sungmin or Henry. They’ll be a big help to his recovery.”
Siwon frowned at the door after it closed. “I can only hope that his memory returns completely. Even with the latest technology, we still can’t determine whether or not he’ll remember everything and if he’ll remember it the way it actually happened, or how he wants to remember it.”
Heechul looked at Hankyung as they sat in the viewing room, looking over their pictures. "Aish. Never knew this was such hard work." Heechul said frowning. Hankyung frowned. "That's because you haven't worked a day in your life. By the way you owe me big time Rella. Because of you we have to be abstinent for a month." Hankyung said making Heechul choke. "Why?!" Heechul asked, oblivious. "Got a text from Henry yesterday saying Kangin was asked be EETEUK to have sex and it's been way over a week so you lost your bet." Hankyung said smirking as realization set in and Heechul pouted. "Okay.... but we're in China why do we have to own up to that?" He whined. Hankyung just smiled and continued to look through the pictures before sending them to the director. "Let's go home." Hankyung said smiling.
Sungmin was walking along, tears still trickling down his face. He paused and looked up at the sky which was cloudy. "Where do I go? I can't go home. Henry's with Kangin now. Heechul's not even in the country......" He mumbled, wanting to go back so badly. "How can he think I wanted that to happen? Ryeowook is my best friend. I protect him because I know he can't help it. It's my fault....... It's all my fault." He said with sad realization.
Kyuhyun, having followed him after a minute, cringed hearing Sungmin blame himself. "I was so mean to him. He's always been such an angel." Sungmin mumbled, holding his arms. Kyuhyun made his was over to him and hugged him. "It's not your fault. Sungmin don't ever blame yourself." He said. Sungmin was about to reply when his phone buzzed.
To: Sungmin
From: Eeteuk
Text: I got your number from Ryeowook's phone. You and Henry need to come to the hospital when you can. It's not urgent but you must come alone, no Kyuhyun.
They both read the message and wondered what could be up. "Not now... I need to be alone right now. Even from you Kyuhyun. My Umma and Appa may be separated but I'm going home. I'm going to go back to school and make up all my work. I'm going to start over, without anyone." Sungmin said turning away from Kyuhyun's hurt face.
Kangin sat with Henry at their home and comforted him. "Henry, you do know Ryeowook can't help it, right?" Kangin asked. Henry hadn't cried, just stared off. "I think so.... I don't even know what set him off that time. I know something though. Lixu tells the truth no matter how harsh it is. He loves Sungmin, not me." He said sighing. "I should have listened to my parents."
Kangin smacked him. "You better damn well not listen to them. They don't want you remember? Ryeowook needs you, you dumb-ass." Kangin growled, reaching for his phone as it got a text.
To: Raccoon
From: Angel Teuk
Text: Hey. I can't get Sungmin and we need one of them asap. Bring Henry down to the hospital.
Kangin looked at Henry before texting back.
To: Angel Teuk
From: Raccoon
Text: Can't. It wouldn't work out. Really Teuk. Henry's doubting everything now. Why? What's going on?
A minute later he got a phone call.
"Henry needs to get un doubting now. Ryeowook had a seizure and passed out. No traces of Lixu yet. He can't remember a damned thing!"
At the hospital, Ryeowook sat watching Eeteuk argue with Siwon before the other made Siwon leave to take Yesung to physical therapy. He sighed as he walked back in and found Ryeowook staring at him. "What?"
"You two fight like lovers." Ryeowook said causing Eeteuk to stare. "He's not my lover. My lover is home. I can't get your best friend or lover to come see you right now so you'll have to wait ok?" Eeteuk said. Ryeowook pouted. "Minnie should be here."
Leeteuk sighed as he patted the younger’s leg. “Sungmin will come when he’s ready. In the meantime, I think I’ll call Kangin again and see if he’ll bring Henry over to see you.”
“That’s all fine and all, but I have a couple questions.” When Leeteuk looked over at him, Ryeowook looked down at his hands. “Why are you talking with Kyuhyun’s hyung? And who is Henry?”
Leeteuk gave Ryeowook a concerned looked. “You…don’t remember Henry? And you don’t remember that Kangin and I are dating?” Ryeowook shook his head slowly. “This is going to be a lot more complicated than I thought.”
Kangin grabbed his phone, answering it quickly. “Teuk, what is it now? We were just about to head out,” he said. He paused to let the other speak, his voice going quiet. “What do you mean Ryeowook doesn’t remember Henry?”
Despite his low voice, Henry heard the words clearly as if they had been shouted. He frowned, his heart twisting painfully at the thought of the one he loved not knowing of him. He felt tears running down his face. The sight of his tears made Kangin panic. He hung up after telling Leeteuk bye and went to sit by Henry.
“Ryeowook…doesn’t know who I am…?” Henry leaned against Kangin, suddenly feeling sick. “Is this what it felt like for him when Sungmin rejected him?”
