Oh Em Ef.

Apparently a half a month has passed since my last update and I don't know how that happened. Today is Tuesday and I leave Japan a week from Thursday. I don't exactly know how I'm going to get everything done, but I sure as poop need to get a move on and start *doing* the those things.

I don't remember what I did a couple weekends ago, but I recall having fun? Oh at one point I went ice skating with Takao! I hadn't gone since I was a little kid, so I had a lot of re-learning too. It was his first time ever. It was a lot of fun, weee.

Then Oct 7, I went to Disney Sea with Takao and Kanako. Yukihiro joined us in the afternoon and then Alex also came in the evening. It's a really awesome place and I was completely blown away by the attention to detail displayed. The park sections were as follows. Mediterranean Harbor was like Europe, especially Venis-like. The whole park as rivers and bodies of water and things, but there you can ride gondolas. That was the first thing we did. :B It was beautiful. American Waterfront was New England / Cape Cod / Old-fashioned NY - themed. That's where the tower of terror was, since the building is like an old-fashioned hotel. Port Discovery is futuristic/nautical. Wee! Mysterious Island volcanic. It's got 20k leagues under the sea, journey to the center of the earth and so on.  Lost River Delta is south american slash tiki-themed. That's where the Indiana Jones ride is. Mermaid Lagoon is little mermaid-themed and Arabian Coast is Aladdin-themed. Yaay.

So, that was an enormous amount of fun. We went on rides, saw shows, watched fireworks, etc.

This past weekend, Aussie Nick came to visit which was awesome, but it was the last time I'll see him while living in Japan. : ( Saturday, we (Nick, Takao and I) went to an Oktoberfest in Yokohama which was great. We all had different kinds of beer and they were all very good. I was very taken aback at how radically different they each tasted. Nick forced me to taste a piece of a sausage he bought. I'm such a bad veg, but it was such a good sausage. :x That night, we went to a little sort of amusement parky-place. Nick and I rode a roller coaster and then we all played video games in an arcade. ^_^

Sunday, we went to the Tokyo Game Show. It was decidedly meh. Not very well-organized, insane wait times to play stuff, etc. Thumbs down. Monday, Nick and I just hung out around Tokyo until his shinkansen at 8:10. We got brunch at a Sri Lanken restaurant, went to karaoke, had him try Cold Stone ice cream for the first time, etc. Good times and then sadness.

Oh, and apparently my former company is planning on trying to fuck me with something hard and sandpapery. I told them I needed my final payment. That said it'd be Oct 27. That's not good enough because I leave the 23rd and need to be able to close my bank account. They said no, 27th. I said I'd tell my former school people the truth about the company if I didn't get my payment before I leave Japan. They were all "OMG EXTORTION BLACKMAIL YOU'RE UNETHICAL." I'm all "... seriously? I'm the unethical one here? JKFLDGNJKLS." So they said If i apologize, they'd pay the money on the 22nd. Which is MUCH too close for comfort, but it seemed like the best offer I'd get. So, that's what we're going with. I'm not sure if I'll ever actually get my tax documentation ugh.
