Once upon a midnight dreary...; or another one of my midnight musings
I now own an apartment with my husband. A nice and dandy one, I might add. We'll be moving in in few months. It'll bring us closer to many of our friends - except the one friend most important to me... which is sad, it'll end our casual meetings over lunch. Oh well, we still have the university campus as our domain, the two of us, so I'm sure our shared existence will not grow any less from my moving.
Ropecon was a blast! I loved every second of it. It was definitely the con most full of RPGs for me I've been in thus far - I spent there 51 hours out of which I spent 33 hours either being a player or a GM (12 and 21 respectively). I got a very nice sourcebook from the GM loot, too ♥ It was sheer intuition that made me grab that one book during the 10 seconds we were given time to choose, but I couldn't be more satisfied with it ♥
Also, it was funny how I noticed the majority of RPGs I was involved in were more or less from the horror genre - I'm really not too fond of the genre, so it's funny how it ended up like that XD My two official RPGs, 7 hours total - horror. My own ongoing campaign, 9 hours - vampire=horror. A fun zombie game xuenay bought and we all played, 8 hours total - horror. Xuenay's official RPG, 4 hours - vampire=horror. The remaining 5 RPG hours I spent working at the demo desk of a new Finnish RPG called Tähti, which is about a teenage mutant girl band, GM:ing scenes for interested passersby.
I bought one of the most adorable teddies I've ever seen at the con! It's a dark green big teddy with only one, red eye. Yup, it's a cyclope teddy! It's shaped like a very old fashioned teddy except its eye, and I'm loving it because of it ♥
I am ashamed, however - I actually slept in the con! I spent two whole hours sleeping. I must be getting old... XD
But that's that, and my last year at the university is about to start soon... I so don't want to leave the place, it has become so very very dear to me... *sigh* I think I finally got the extra boost I need to get my gradu done - every week, if I manage to keep up with my schedule, I will either GM an RPG to xuenay or he to me. We'll see if this carrot is enough to help me pick up my pen again after being ill for so long. We'll see XD
