It was like full-banging nonsensical metal in the mornings. It wasn't intentional, you hated that kind of music. But just like a person, it grew on you. One day u were cussing its face, but being so near to it, day by day, it just crept up on you, till the day it discreetly slipped away, you felt a strange emptiness. The thing you had once hated with fiery passion now was the very thing you were yearning for, straining to get a last glimpse of.
That was done. But every time the song came back on, you'd think of a certain time and place, a dream worlds away, encased with the feelings of the past. The safe haven, the time of comfort, under the illusion of entirety. The love, the dreams, the certainty that everything was perfect.
But then it would come crashing down, it all fell apart. How the time of perfection had always just had thin strips of glue pressing the slices together. And of course, eventually, the glue stopped sticking. You saw it all. The ugliness of everything, and without giving it the benefit of doubt, you walked away. Steadily and slowly, only stopping occasionally to glance back. Sometimes you yearned for it again, but your feet were unstoppable, they kept esking you towards the future. It was time to let the past be, stranded and untouched, until one day you'd be strong enough to come back with enough courage to give it a proper burial.
And as you kept going, eventually you would learn how to survive by yourself, picking up bits and pieces of info along the way, until you were molded into a different person. People along the road would stop and talk, building you up, making you stronger for times ahead. Together you would keep walking along that same road. Some had to say goodbye, others that didn't like the company anymore left. But most stayed tight, holding on, giving warmth when times were dreary and bravado was short-lived.
Together, they would all get through, each on their different journeys, but tramping on as one. They wouldn't stop, for though it was hard, because they knew they could keep going. . Hurts were still very much alive, but the mere presence of others were enough to keep them inching forward, discovering new things, enjoying the beauty of what they were doing.
And so, they went on, and you know what? They realized they no longer cared about getting away. It just didn't matter to them anymore.
This was written one night in Dec 2012 with loads of built-up passion. :) It explains the persistent and continuous journey of life, and how through it, you discover best friends who walk with you.
Occasionally, there may be some drama going on, boyfriends come and go. (hypothetically, I havent dated :P ), friends waver, spastic moments of joy come, the struggle against angst, and just..life!
This is a journey to discover more about me, the little sparks of revelation that come along sometimes, which I will record and talk about. I'd like to think I'm an aspiring spoken word poet, and sometimes, I'll sit down and just pour out all my thoughts and form a poem, usually about how I'm feeling and what happened that particular day. Sometimes, all those squiggles of thought will flow out of me like a waterfall, and I'll read it, look back and go, "oh so that's what that was all about." And sometimes, I find I haven't solved a thing. But it's just a part of finding myself, and learning more about the person I strive to be~ I love writing freeverse, it's just the most amazing thing in the whole entire Earth <3 I'll share some of my poems with you guys, and it'd be an honour to have you read it! :D
I love kpop, fav boy band: b1a4, girls: Girls Generation. My bias is Yoona, she's amazing. :)
And Yet I love American music too, Parachute being one of my favorite band. TS is on my hit list ( and just about everyones :P) Eminem and Skrillez is appreciated too. favorite song: Forever and Always by Parachute. I adore Yiruma and Ave Maria, and play the piano, oboe, and trombone. Not very arty, but I really enjoy photography.
I'd describe myself as an open-minded kind of girl who is comfortable in her own skin who occasionally becomes a little self-conscious. :) I'm on the thin side. Asian 5'6 107 ibs. I try to make others laugh a lot, I'd like to think somewhat of an ambivert, but leaning a little bit on introvert :P I've learned, though, to be more extroverted when situations call for it. I'm Christian, but not the type to push it on other people. Favorite brands are Gap, Hollister and Forever 21.
Tea I have every day but coffee doesn't sit well with me. Sushi is a plus too, theres a little restaurant close by that I go to a lot Mom does ginseng business and office.
Please add me, because I'd love to get to know you through your page!
