Heyyo guys!! :) Hope your holidays all went well~ Over my holiday, I indulged in fruits basket (shoutout to Maggie Eaton; thanks for letting me borrow them!), and lotsov reading on my kindle. Before, I hadn't really used it but Joseph taught me that if I get my books as a torrent over piratebay, then I can basically search up any book I want, and get it on my kindle. it's darn sweet ;))) though of course it's not legal...but I don't think it's much different than downloading songs from off the web, so I still do it. ;P I'm reading the Lost Prince next, it's the last book of the Iron Fey series, which is my alltime fave series! <3 really do recommend :) (after you're done Graceling, of course ;))
Over the holidays, we also went skiing, and my uncle is probably a master downhill skiier, like he can go off extreme+ without so much as ever losing control, it's crazy. He forced me to go down the Super Extreme run in China, and I was basically like cringing going at snail's pace - and I really do mean snail's pace- and my cousin was refusing to go down altogether, bawling his eyes out when we took the lift to the top and he looked down. It was terrifyying, but I can sure am able tell you my uncle is no master cross-country skiier. He wasn't bad for suree, but he sure was pretty slow. Not as slow as my aunt tho, she gave up after like 10 min, and just took her skiis off and walked the rest of the 2-hour way with them tucked under her arm. My cousin fell more than a few times- he was adorable!-, but I'm pretty good at cross-country did like 2 runs by the time they finished half. I really actually do like cross-country though it's not as thrilling as downhill, as you can really take the time to admire nature, and feel your arm muscles just pulling at you as you bring yourself forward. Ya know, the experience is wonderful, and especially in Pinawa. Fed a couple of deer, had one guzzling my hand, nbd.
I also spent my break practicing piano for a wedding. I actually took it really seriously and practiced 238293794873 hours, because I sure didn't wanna ruin someone's wedding. I mean, it's a really onceinalifetimeopportunity (if you find the right person of course), and I would really hate to be the special someone to play a straggling lone wrong note while all eyes are on the bride. That'd be kinda embarrassing. So when the special day came, I was uber uber nervous, and I can go as far to say that it's the most nervous I've ever gotten for a piano performance, I was practically quaking in fear when there was like 25 min to go before it started. my throat closed up, hands clammy, breath sparse, ya know, near-hyperventilating stuff like that. As it was, I did fine, but I accidentally put way too much eyeliner on the morning, and ended up looking like a deformed scarecrow. I wore my grad dress hehe :)
Other than that, I went shoppingg, but I didn't buy very much. I'm waiting until later on in Jan where stuff is super uber cheap. ;) Boxing day sales were great at Bath and Body Works, as people mentioned before, so I bought like $30 worth of stuff. I got more the Noel fragrance in this big bottle:
= the exact same bottle I got, I also have a mini that I sprayed on Frank. Have a whiff.
Lotsov lotion, and some stuff for my cousin at the Children's Place. As I said, not very much :) Yesterday, my mom and I went shopping though, and she bought a 100$ dress from Laura Petite, it's purple and fancy xD This asian woman associate talked us into buying it, it's pretty cute! As we were walking towards Laura, there was this woman at her kiosk, and she just randomly waved to us, and walked over with that huge "I'manassociateandI'mheretosellyousomething" smile. Then she proceeded to take our hands and buff the thumbs to perfection. I was all thrilled and everything, preparing to throw in my credit card when she was like ohh yess and this kit is 79$! And then of course, I'm like "...soorrryy not today". Of course, I told her I was only interested in the buffer, because the kit came with a bunch of lotion and cuticle cream, and she was like " I'll give you the buffer for only 40$, and I'm like..great great, I'll come back another day!" Hooollyyyy, I didn't know buffers could be that expensive! I've seen the Revlon Crazyshine, so I'll probably buy that for 10x less at the drugstore. xD Because. I'm. Asian. And. I. Broke. ;p
Also went to see Les Miserables. No one was exaggerating, it IS that incredible. <3 :) I love singing in movies, so this was perfect, and omi, it had the greaatest acting. Anne Hathaway forever amazing. The plot was really great too. I convinced my mom to go see it later this week.
