Rant time
Ok, so I am not all up to date and whatever, but recently I've seen a bunch of Bush's crap about a ban on same-sex marriage. The logic is what gets me every time. For some reason, he thinks that a union between a man and a woman is the only way to instill good family values on a child.
I cannot even begin to think of the ways I'd like to kick his statement into the dust.
Ok. So consider a family- a man and a woman. They have a kid. Well suppose that that couple of people starts to hate each other. And the dad beats up on the wife. Or they yell choice phrases at each other. Or they are constatly fighting. What the hell does that teach a child?!?!
Fuck, I think kids can end up messed up either way, or they can end up great. So what if both your parents are moms. So what if they are both dads? What the hell is wrong with a child growing up in a loving family, even if those parents are of the same sex? What the hell is wrong with that, I ask every single person. To be loved by both parents, no matter what sex they are, is more important than having a mom and dad, even if they both hate each other, cuss each other out, and basically show all the worst family values in the world.
Fundamentalists, get off your high horse and stop being such pussies. Why are you so threatened by same-sex marriage?
