Rushed entry for all good tidings.
After going through numerous bike break downs, and some uneventful times. My time here has been pretty good so far, my moneys is dwindling some, but that should change the moment I get paid from my job. Which brings me to this tidbit.
(1st day of work)
General Manager: Well, right now we don't need any servers at the moment, but we do need a full time host.
Myself: Well, I am a much better server than I am a host, I haven't hosted very often to begin with...
GM; Okay, well when a server position opens up I'll move you to their.
Me: Okay sounds good.
(A week later) (a server I never met before approaches the T)
???: Hi my name is Jackolope.
Me: Hi mister lope I am called the T.
Lope: Cool, how long have you been working here?
Me: Oh a little more than a week, how about you?
Lope: I just got hired 2 days ago.
Me: Oh you did huh? that's odd.
Lope: How do you like here.
Me: Well up until now I liked it just fine, but right now I'm pissed off at the management.
So I went to the middle management with my concerns, and as I already figured out, they really didn't have plans for me to move up to server anytime soon, so I;ve been jerked around by these assholes. I really should go and confront the person that hired me about this. But I don't feel the most inclined to do so. I am grateful as hell I got a job so quickly, but I'm pissed off as well, they say I don't look happy all the time and my hosting skill isn't so great. And then I reminded them that my hosting skill and server skill are like night and day. Which they said don't give us that. Errrgh!! I suppose i should go confront them and keep the job for now while I look elsewhere to find a place that will hire me as a server.
It's not so much that I hate hosting. I'm just going to have a bitch of a time be able to make a living on host wages.
Such things have been aggravating myself.
