20. Lev Grossman, The Magicians -- very interesting book. I loved the first half of it, while Quentin and company were at Brakebills. I enjoyed the rest of it, too, but in a different way. 19. Jackson Pearce, Sisters Red -- this was a very interesting read. I liked the book, though I certainly didn't ~love~ it, and there was a lot about it that I thought was not as good as the central core. ( Spoilers from here )

3. Steven Brust, The Phoenix Guards -- I enjoyed it more than I thought I would, though I still definitely prefer the Vlad Taltos books. Paarfi's style is something I find more frustrating than funny, especially when it comes to dialogue, a deterrent rather than a bonus when it comes to this series. But, OK, it was not too bad. 1. Steven Brust, Iorich -- so, finally, after two books and *checks tags* about seven years, I finally get some Morrolan. ( And some other stuff, too. Somewhat spoilery, I guess? )

24. Dave Duncan, Ill Met in the Arena -- this is a book I never would have picked up if I hadn't already enjoyed Duncan's King's Blades books. ( But I rather liked it! (SPOILERY) )

5. Tess Gerritsen, The Bone Garden -- I think this may actually be my favorite of her books I've read, not least because it features almost no Maura Isles. ( More, with REALLY MAJOR SPOILERS )
