Ok, I am going to seriously try to use lj cuts for this play-by-play. Wish me luck (mods?...?)
She now officially has more square footage than I do.
First: the toilet rolls.
We had seen them before, but the tissue paper was new!! I tried to make toys by stuffing apple wood chips
in the roll with tissues on either side. I think we will have to try that again at a later date....
"What in Hamster Heaven is this???"
After tentatively absconding up the tube to the sky house with the right side of tissue, she returned for the left - no longer tentative...
"I want it all!"
...unfortunately, there was a little more than she bargained for on one trip. Several re-packing attempts were made, then she just went for it. The Tube.
"How did this tube shrink!?!"
Several false starts later and the paper began to emerge, kinda like a torn hem. I guess this made very slow progress possible so gradually more and more paper was released...
"What are you looking at?!?!?!?"
I have to stop here and take a moment, because I haven't seen such straining and forcing since I tried on last year's jeans. I swear she had the same facial expression I did at the time.
Second: the house.
She went in and out the front, then she decided to just lift up the side and go in that way, all of which was hysterical and too fast for me to capture on film in anything less than a blur. Then she adopted "The Titanic" (closest replication below).
"I'm queen of the world!"
Last: the wheel.
I don't think she had ever seen a wheel before, at first she kept taking a few steps then rocking back and forth. Then she stood outside and rolled it with her hands. About 2 hours ago she figured it out...the running part anyway.
"What the heck is this thing?"
Unfortunately, stopping resulted in a perfectly executed somersault. She just sat there with this look like "I meant to do that" right before she laid down for a rest. I tried to shoot a picture but she glared at me, so I guess that's all for now. Hope you enjoyed! I'm open for tips on taking tank photos btw.
Also, the silent spinner is making it's way slowly across the tub. Can I stop it? Also, like I said this is stage one. There is a tank coming and I think she can get out of this tub as it's top is off for the tube to descend. Tips on tops? I also don't know how to make a tube hole for the mesh tank top. I plan to check on the tags since we all know I am an admitted idiot....case in point, I just noticed that they are just off to the right and I don't have to backtrack to the info page every time.
