Hi guys, my sister's hamster seems to be having a problem. I have a hamster of my own but that is irrelevant right now. My sister's hamster sleeps a lot and is not very active. He seems kind of boney, but then again my sister's always saying that my hamster is fat so he could just seem boney compared to my fat hamster. Anyway, he doesn't seem to be.. how do I say.. crapping as much as he should. According to my sister she never sees any poop laying around his cage or anything. His stomach seems to be bulged and he seems as if maybe he's even bloated. His stomach is very large and hard. Yes, hard, it's strange. It feels as if he could have a tumor I'd think, but instead of one spot it's his entire underside that's bulged and hard which leads me to believe it could be constipation. We attempted to feed him lettuce tonight but it looks like our lettuce has gone bad so it will have to wait until we can get some new.

Other than that though, he's acting quite normal. He still runs in his ball, he doesn't ite or anything. But he is very lethargic... then again he's kind of always been that way, compared to my hyper, overactive Teddypig.

Any suggestions? Links? It's pretty important as my sister's only 13 and can use all the help she can get since she can't exactly just go bring him to a vet with her nonexistant income.

Thanks a lot.

I was going to post pics of teddypig but I'd rather focus on my question right now, I'll post pics another time.
