When Yunho first meets Changmin, the sixteen-year-old is mature and smart, too smart, for someone his age. Changmin, Yunho finds, seems to have the answers for all the problems in the world and that doesn’t change as the maknae grows up between the tight schedules, dance practices and stage performances. He’s Junsu’s best friend, Yoochun’s inspiration and Jaejoong’s soul fighter. Changmin is strong, a rock to Yunho’s pillar as the leader and Yunho looks to Changmin for guidance sometimes. Even when the whole ‘DBSK splitting up’ case was happening, Changmin never once cried. He stayed up with Yunho, listening as the older man sheds silent tears as they reminisce of the times when all five of them were just a family. But Yunho knows Changmin isn’t infallible. He’s seen Changmin vulnerable and young and when it really sets in that the three out of four most important people in his life is gone, Yunho finds Changmin crying in his room, tears flowing freely as the maknae rubs at his nose,eyes swollen and nose as red as Rudolph's. Hyung! Changmin wails pitifully, throwing himself at the leader, soaking his shirt wet as Yunho soothes him with gentle pats to his head and sweet, sweet words. It’ll be okay sweet Min. Yunho murmurs lovingly. It’s all going to be okay. And all the time, Yunho knows Changmin is only human and still the baby of the group.
