Saw Superman Returns, mneh. I guess I expected a movie like that, with the existing fanbase and the decades of legacy to fulfill, to be a bit more...epic. It was pretty lame. I just caught Guess Who's Coming to Dinner on tv after flipping through dozens and dozens of uuuuuseless channels, wow. Think Crash for 1967. Somewhat dated but a powerful performance from three of my favorite actors, why hadn't I ever heard of this movie before? Excellent dialog, very well written and equally well performed.

First off I understand that this movie isn't supposed to be taken seriously, and for that reason I am willing to forgive that the acting was lousy, the hero was dubious, it fueled goth subculture, and the plot was about as cohesive as a Nirvana music video. Just watched vanilla sky, pretty out there. Interesting premise for a movie. Took a heck of a long time to set up the story, I was getting bored. Things finally nosed up at the end though. Finally went and saw episode III, it was better than I and II in my opinion, and a lot of other people's opinions too from what I've heard. The dialog was lacking in parts, I thought Hayden Christensen did alright but Natalie Portman was thoroughly unconvincing.
