One of the common questions around the table on Mondays, during lunch time, is what everyone else did with their weekends. Here goes mine:

Saturday, after the shift, I went to the weekend market with a couple of office friends to get something for breakfast before we went to the christening that we were supposed to attend at 9 am. The problem with going on weekends from a GY shift is that your body clock gets all wonky because when there are events like the ones we attended, that happen on Saturday morning, you end up being awake for really long hours.

So heniwei, from the weekend market , the we went to Villamor airbase where the christening happened and the boi was one of the ninongs. It was interesting to note that i smirked when the priest said that one of the roles of the godfather is to bring the child closer to God in christian faith. My immediate thought was "oh boy, you guys got the wrong guy" or "good luck with that, father". But to be fair to the boi, the priest was ummmm, unique. He spaced out or looked emptily at the audience periodically. But that was fun to watch.

Time check: 9:45 AM

The reception happened in a newly developed condo/village of sorts (Raya Residences). I like the place...very modern but at the same time, it had lush greens.

Time check 2:00 PM

Through the goodness of a friend, we were driven to Glorietta just so the boi can get the hair cut. Note that by then I was already 18 hours awake. So I got coffee with extra shots of espresso.

2:30 PM

We got a cab and went to Q.C. to another friends house to celebrate his passing the the BAR exam. By this time, I was really tired and that I was running on cafeine.

10:00 PM

We finally went home. I crashed in the bed without dressing up. I was awake for 26 hours. Pero ok lang, no!

Tomorrow na yung nangyari kanina.
