10 Things A Hero Never Does With His Nemesis - #3: Dating [Truth or Dare: Go on a Date]

Truth: Have you ever wished you could be with someone else while in a monogamous relationship? or Dare: Go on a date.

It's early evening when Captain Hammer arrives at Main Street, in the centre of Midtown. A hero is always punctual, after all. Especially when taking their nemesis for dinner.

To be fair, this is not something heroes tend to do. But then, he's always been different. Always even more unique. A magnificent trend-setter, never one to keep to the status quo when he had the potential to be so much more awesome.

And boy, is he awesome.

The last few days have been a phenomenally unexpected whirlwind of equally unexpected events. He's still caught up in the middle of it; still wondering if he's going to wake up and find it was all some bizarre dream - or, worse, be awake but discover it was all some terrible set-up - and still, he goes on. And with every step, more things make sense. With every step... something else inside his mind seems to flip. Or maybe he just sees more clearly what was there before.

He's arranged to meet... Billy, technically, but it's always a little tricky to be sure... at the fountain on Main Street at 7pm. He arrives a little before ten-to - he would have been earlier, but he does still have some fans, and they tend to pop up when least expected. Especially when he's not in his usual attire.

Given that he's technically off-duty - as much as one can be off-duty when both a great hero and also not possessed of a mild-mannered alter-ego (no room in his head given the size of his usual ego!) - he's opted for something a little dressier: black trousers, pale blue shirt with the top two buttons left open, and a rather fabulous black leather jacket. The short-cut one with the interesting collarline. No gloves, though, because things like going for dinner require greater dexterity than slamming evil into walls. Plus, they don't quite go with the jacket.

And that's him. He looks pretty damn awesome, if he does say so himself.

Just got to hope Billy will agree...
