overheard in NYC
A conversation between two men with stereotypically gay-inflected speech patterns: "My ex-wife asked, 'Are you on antidepressants? You're not challenging me.' And I said, "No, I'm just very blessed.'"
Made me wonder what the rest of that conversation was about!
Also: "If I still cared about you, that would bother me. But I don't, so it doesn't."
I think that one was being related after the fact.
Had dinner with the lovely jessruth this evening at the Moonstruck Diner at 58th and 2nd, then walked to Times Square and decided to see Enchanted at one of the cinemas there. Very silly and cute. And then I walked back to my hotel at 27th and Madison. Between that and walking from the hotel to the Union Square area and back earlier today, I've gotten in a lot of walking. It feels good (well, except for the persistent hip issue, for which I am visiting at PT next Tuesday). I love walking around NYC. I could take the bus or subway or taxi everywhere, but why?
