Instead of joining the approximately 3,184,259 people at the Hot Foods Party, Trowa and I went to DC over the weekend to witness
kimberlogic's graduation from massage therapy school. As a very early supporter of her decision to apply to and attend PMTI, I was thrilled to see her achieve her dream after so much hard work and the difficult separation from family and friends in Boston.
kimberlogic, I am immensely proud of you, and you are going to be a fabulous healer. You rock. :)
There was a graduation party on Saturday night, which was low-key and fun, and we got to see
turtleduck,
unodelman and Lyn, and
geekchick and
nminusone, which is always a pleasure.
On Sunday we took a spin into the city and saw exquisite orchids, stunning wildlife and nature photography, and fascinating fossils at the Smithsonian Museum of Natural History. Afterward we went to Teaism in Penn Quarter for a warming and nourishing repast of hot tea and various Japanese-style foods. Mmmmm, I love Teaism. I wish we had one here in Boston. More tea houses are always good in my book!
