who counts as a real person in America?
Female? Queer? Disabled or chronically ill? Old? Person of color? Immigrant? Religious minority? Poor or living on the edge? Living in an area that stands to be inundated by rising seas or destroyed by storms of increasing violence? Members of all these groups now know that we are not really people in the eyes of over half the electorate. Those of us who are members of more than one of the above groups? Oh well, really sucks to be you. Hope you didn't get too used to having things like rights and healthcare and whatnot!
