LA Bound.....
So here we go.....
We are moving back to Los Angeles. While living in the Central Valley has not been a failure (on the contrary, we have had a number of positive experiences), we have spent the majority of our time not at work devising ways to not be here in Manteca. Unless of course, we were or are at Dan and Nicki's, which is a completely different ballgame. We love our friends up here, but feel that our futures lie, at least for the next five years, in Los Angeles.
The straw that broke the camels back was my recent ambulance ride courtesy of 115 degree heat and wine bottle manufacturing. I will finish out my night shifts, and then head down to Los Angeles to pick up work at the casual hall, which is running at three to four days a week right now. I will be back and forth to Manteca for the next month. Cassandra will be giving her notice later this month, and we will have a tentative move date of September 12.
Wait, many of you may ask, won't this throw everything up in the air again? Haven't you just spent the last year trying to settle down? Well, yes, it will throw everything in the air. And yes, we have been trying to figure out where to live and the best way we can settle down. And we haven't found a definitive answer. But I believe we are steering ourselves down the right path.
