East Wind Cowl- Lace
Originally uploaded by halogencatI finished knitting the East Wind Cowl weeks ago, but only just got around to blocking and photographing it this weekend. I love how it turned out! I don’t think there are any major errors in the lace, the size is correct, and the cashmere is just sooo soft and wonderful. (Have I mentioned recently how much I adore cashmere? I’m not sure why I ever knit with anything else.) So that is one more Christmas project checked off the list.
I restarted on the flamingo mittens for my mom this week. I have calculated an ambitious knitting schedule that will let me finish them in time to ship for Christmas. I hope that I will be able to get them done!
Danger’s blanket and my final Christmas knitting project will definitely not be done in time. Sadness!
Everything else for Christmas seems to be going on schedule. The house is decorated, the presents are all wrapped (except for Mike because I couldn’t start shopping for him until after his birthday), and travel/vacation dates are planned. This week starts Operation Christmas Cards 2010, a large annual undertaking.
Now I just need to finish baking this baby bun.
