Natural Swimming Pools

This is the bomb.

I don't think I would ever want to own and maintain a pool or hot tub based on what I have seen my poor dad go through over the years. A large chlorinated container of water is a huge timesink and moneysink. Plus it uses up the portion of the lawn that is best for a Bocce course.

The other problem is that my eyes have gotten much more sensitive to chlorine since the days of my youth. The best part of swimming, in my opinion, has always been the underwater weightlessness. Totally ruined, of course, by burny eyes.

Also, we've got the piggy. He loves to swim.

We take him to the pond in the park when the weather is nice and not-too-sunny. If we could have a pond that would be a appropriate for him to swim in in our own backyard at some point, that would be excellent.
