I miss home. As much as I like it here, I wish I could go back for the weekend and well, not do the dishes or laundry, or the cooking for that matter, drive over to Kallang Airport to pick up satay beehoon or oyster omelette... or to Kallang Leisure Park for a subway sandwich and grocery shopping at cold storage, or Parkway for koi, and I even miss Suntec (my homeground!)
And I miss my parents and going to do my nails with my mom and lunch at marina bay with them with my dad ordering the fried rice he always orders, and going to my grandma's place on Sundays and randomly meeting up with my aunt and family which is always so fun because they're so insane and funny and we always look at all our old holiday photos and laugh at each other because we looked so horrible way back then,
and my friends as well, I miss texting Gourie and Lady almost everyday about random stuff and being bored, and seeing gross girls around, and just knowing what they're getting up to regularly instead of hearing it a few days later or something. and going for drives with Hwee for coffee and movies, and bubble tea and playing tennis and all of us meeting up for Japanese food like we always do and laughing at each other and calling each other weird names... because I think you girls are seriously the people I can be completely nuts around and it's so great that you guys are weirder than I am HAHAHA okay I sense a whole lot of disagreement coming my way but its true ;)
And of course I miss my little Truffles so much :( everytime I see my coursemates bringing their dogs to lecture, watching their dogs just settle down next to them in the LT and being so good the entire duration of the lecture (of course it may have something to do with paul sheehy/ susan hemsley's voices), I just miss her even more and I know that if I could bring HER to lecture too, she'd concuss in a little ball or in one of her various hideous poses (flat on her back!) at my feet and snooze throughout. And I miss seeing her bounding around like mad and getting all excited for walks and bugging my dad for food every night, and me annoying her when she's sleepy and about to doze off which makes her do that weird groaning sound (loosely translated: BUGGER OFF NOWWW) and bringing her for walks at Kallang river....
So even though I do like it here, the good food and company and weather and well, my dream course... I do wish Singapore was just a short drive away, so I could go back for the weekends and stuff. And also that would mean I could get a car. ;)
