Initial polls from my beta readers are good; I have reworked a plot-point or two to appease their senses of flow, but I have yet to hear from Prowl. Have your studies overwhelmed you, my dear? I await your analysis with great interest.
On a similar note, it seems that there is more melodrama going on under my very nose than I anticipated. Already I have a set of working notes for my next novel; perhaps returning to Evergrove will be far better for my career at Nomenclature than I thought.
And lastly - I have no idea whether this was placed in my Book Return box by some cruel student, or whether it was merely seeking shelter from the rain, but I am stuck with it for the nonce; I cannot locate a shelter open on the weekend that is less than 2 hours' drive from the University. However, it cannot live in my office forever, and if this is some prank, I will have my vengeance. Although I suppose I could train it to hunt the demon-beast and her spawn in the library's wings....
