A quote and an accident
Out of context quote:
"You have to help me! My 21 year old daughter has been kidnapped by lesbians and pagans!"
"And...?"
Completely unrelated accident:
I drove into the office today, spending some time in Cambridge on a road with a bicycle lane. There were occasional bicyclists using it. There was a jogger who decided leave the sidewalk, cut behind a parked car and jog in the bicycle lane to, as near as I could see, avoid an African American couple who were walking the other way. The thing is, the idiot didn't bother to look to see if there was any oncoming traffic. As a result a bicyclist smacked right into him, spilling both of them onto the ground. As I inched past (Thank you Cambridge traffic) I saw the bicyclist pick himself up and dust himself off. He then hopped on his bicycle, flipped the still dazed jogger the bird and pedaled off.
The jogger screamed after the bicyclist and started running after him.
The couple whose mere existence had sparked the incident? They were laughing their asses off.
After a few blocks I saw the jogger still running down the street pell-mell, the bicycle nowhere to be seen.
