Meanwhile, back in Finland...
Reading news from Finland is pretty depressing at the moment. Hopefully the True Finns won't be able to cause *too much* damage thanks to the multi party system, but it's still all a bit scary and makes me feel uncomfortable. I don't really get it how they can be so opposed to immigration when there aren't even than many foreigners living in Finland. Well, maybe there are some more in Helsinki, but not so much elsewhere. It was pretty obvious when I last visited there last August. Everyone looked so white and Finnish, the contrast to the West Midlands was pretty striking. And they are so anti-feminist it makes me want to puke. I kind of wish I had voted, but getting to Solihull is just too difficult from here. :( (Incidentally, I find it disturbing how much Timo Soini looks like Nick Griffin. Scary O_o)
