I hope all of the US peeps had a good Thanksgiving, whether it was family time or just a day of random loafing!
We enjoyed having the kids here, and definitely enjoyed too much eating. Wow. The regrets, I AM them. Mostly the ones shaped like pie. :O
I spent some time looking around the Internet for boots over the last couple of weeks. This was more difficult than it should have been. For knee boots, I wanted something that was not 1) biker, 2) combat, 3) rainboot, 4) stiletto, 5) super-high-heel, 6) wide-calf, or 7) masculine. Let's just ignore the
randomly freaky ones, too (I mean, I didn't think I had to specify "not Eskimo" as a choice!) And seriously,
whaaat? *Help!* /o\
I would love
this boot with a heel under 2 inches in height. Why is that so hard to find? I wound up going for similar Naturalizer boots in black, with almost as high a heel. Still waffling over whether to keep them or return them.
My searching for those and for birthday gifts last month led me to some interesting finds. I'm not much for Steampunk as a literary genre, but as fashion? Oh hell, yes! It feeds every shred of geek-aesthetic in me, whereas most of what I usually like is graceful elegance. Or blue. ;)
So, for your perusal...
these awesome boots (which also come in brown, but the green really shows the must-have detail), and
these *

earrings, and
this amazing hand jewelry that I would never wear, but OMG! Look at it!
*koff* Ahem.
You're welcome. ;)
