In Bruges

I spent about 5 minutes after the end of In Bruges wondering WHY Peter Dinklage was not being credited for that movie, and thinking that if the movie had come out NOW they would by God put his name up there.

Then I finally processed the fact that the actor in that movie was not Dinklage. It wasn't just that he'd gotten rid of his bangs, or was shaping his voice differently for the part, it was a completely different actor who was also a dwarf. Imdb.com shows my husband and I are not the only people who confused the two. I'd like to see the two actors play brothers in a movie someday-easy casting choice!

I was also unprepared for how the name of the city was pronounced. I'd assumed that was the Belgians' word for their own city, and was expecting something more like "Broo-hess" (more Dutch) than "Broozh." Still, HOW do you get Broozh out of that spelling? If it were Brujes, maybe, but with the G? No way.

Gorgeous city, though. Quaint, lovely houses and town squares, beautiful canals. Wow.
