Today is the last day of voting for the current round of Idol, and any and all votes are appreciated. My pieces are here and here (two this week). The poll numbers on the first one are really making me nervous

The role of Sherlock is a difficult one, in that the writing surround it needs to be entertaining enough that Sherlock himself is not entirely insufferable. I love the movies with Robert Downey Jr. (and Jude Law is just a wonderful Watson). There's a lot of humor in the story to counteract the fact that a lot of the time, you just want to smack Sherlock for being such a jerk. ;)

I'd only caught part of a Sherlock show from another room a year or two ago, where the modern setting got my back up. Much better to watch it from the first episode, because you get over all of that stuff pretty quickly then.
