Feels like beyond Friday, like I've dragged halfway into next week...
Today is the last day of voting for the current round of Idol, and any and all votes are appreciated. My pieces are here and here (two this week). The poll numbers on the first one are really making me nervous. :(
So, last day of training, but my brain was fried back on Wednesday. It's been a long week with very little sleep, though the class equipment is behaving better. Just a few more hours... I've been trying to catch up with my f-list today over lunch (now), and periodically checking the hourly weather forecast all day in some sort of stubborn denial mode. Still on target for 100o at 5pm, which means I cannot bike today. But surely, if I keep refreshing the web page, that will change. Right? :O
Did I mention that my daughter got us hooked on the BBC Sherlock Holmes series? We're 1 1/2 episodes in, but really liking it so far. I don't find Benedict at all attractive (apart from That Voice), but he's really well suited to the role. And even my daughter thinks Martin Freeman is adorable (and he does look like a Hobbit, somehow). We're watching Doc Martin with our son (who finds Bert as hilarious as I do), and Sherlock with our daughter. Meanwhile, the stuff on the DVR is piling up... though HalfshellHusband and I finished S1 of Homeland, which was quite a ride. Plus, Mandy Patinkin has once again won me over. Apart from Criminal Minds, where he irritated me, I have some kind of ungodly weakness for that man's soulfulness.
So, weekend. No camping. Probably packing for vacation, though. What about you?
