2 fun recent support messages. the first is from my credit card where i get sent to the "Password Reset" page every time i enter in any password (except one that triggers some password format error).
"Dear Online Customer,
Thank you for your recent inquiry regarding your Chevron and Texaco Visa credit card, and the opportunity to be of service to you.
We are in the process of updating our registration functionality to offer you a better customer experience. Based on feedback and suggestions from our cardholders, we are streamlining the registration process so you will not have to re-register in the future. We are also upgrading the password set-up process. These changes will go into effect over the next few months. "

Ah... "streamlining" is what they are doing. Yes, it is certainly more streamlined not to have to reset my password every time. OTOH... i don't need to worry about remembering the password. I do, however, need the card numbers every time i login.
The other is an old account i had started causing error messages to be sent to me several times a day. i tried to log on to deactivate it, but it wouldn't let me on, so i wrote support to have that fixed. Their response:
"Your account is a longer supporrted account type, thus the suspension. If you would lik to reactivated the account as another account type we can have a Sales Rep contact you. If this is in regards to transfererror messages we had received from us, we have corrected the issue and you should not get any other alerts from us."
Of course, the error messages haven't stopped.
