voicemail
related to an old post, my work changed out it's voicemail system today. so i need to record a new message.
which, i think, is their way of telling me i need to change it to:
Hi, you can leave a message here, but i'll probably answer it quicker if you send me an IM or an email. However, if it's an emergency, you should really call our help desk. Next time you think of calling, ponder all those options first. Oh, and if you're the help desk, this better actually be an emergency, and my boss, who you are supposed to call in an emergency better not be around, this shouldn't be one of those "oh i have a question about an email someone sent yesterday" calls.
Which would work great if i could cause different extensions to get different messages.
